Semi-Finals????? Somebody at the KHSAA screwed up!

Don't know if I'd say that. I watched Williamsburg against Newport earlier in the season and they looked awfully good to me. I'm sure that Raceland has a fine team too; haven't watched them.

Whats Beechwood's speed like? Run vs Pass preference? Size? Im really not conerned with size and what they do as much as I would be speed. I think Speed is the only thing that could honestly give mayfield problems. Maybe a really really good scheme and game plan, but even still, without great speed behind it, I dont see it giving us many problems.

This years edition of Rash's Tigers remind me of a lot of some of the past editions, run first and pass out of necessity and then try to throw to a RB first. I liken Bw to a new car but with an old engine. I feel like the Mf defense is the best in 1A, especially against the run. That said I don't see the Rash preferred way being real effective but BW is very good this year so we will see.

Go to northern kentucky sports and watch one of their earlier games. Both offense and defense units will really get after it for Beechwood. Qb can hold his own. Likes to roll out and throw on the run. Receivers are average compared to Mayfield, although receivers have mainly been used for blocking the edges more than catching anything in years past. Good team speed, not great. Rugby style punter will take off and run with it. Beechwood will find it much more difficult to run between the tackles like they did on the Panthers. Bright and Tyler will fair well on the Tiger turf next week.

They run because they can, Fieger can sling it better than anyone in 1A, Rash hopes you load up to stop the run because they have plenty of speed on the perimeter. By the way, they haven't thrown to a rb in a month, shock and awe........I guess we will see once you get to beechwood rd.

I guess we will see how average the BW receivers are in comparison to the vaunted MF air show, you might just be surprised.

Well since you don't think Beechwood has a chance, Mayfield shouldn't even make the long drive uphere and should just wait until next week to play in the finals.
