TP your actually the one of the few Mayfield fans who actually respects Beechwood. I think from I have been hearing from the Beechwood folks this is their best chance they have had in years.

JB hasn't been to a Beechwood game in 6 years. The last time I went to a Beechwood game was when they beat Hazard in the finals in 2008. Its called working at sports bar at the casino so I never get off on Friday Nights.

As much as I am pulling for the N KY team, I not sure Beechwood can control the line of scrimmage enough to keep long drives going. Also, Mayfield has the speed to keep Beechwood from getting the edge. The game is at Beechwood, so that helps not making the six hour drive, but Mayfield hasn't lost a semi final game in a long time, and not sure it will happen this Friday. Next year I guarentee that Beechwood doesn't lose to Mayfield. (They will be in different classes).

On paper this looks to me like Bw is a favorite and a older more veteran team but both teams have areas of advantage. Overall I would give BW a offense edge and MF the defensive. Coaching goes to the Cards in a big way while home field, though I don't think its a advantage, goes to Bw

TP, fairly accurate assessment. After Friday though I think we can freeze the crap for 4 years. I have a hunch that BW and MF will be in the same class again.

Beechwood wins and starts it's long run of 1A state titles. I predict if they win this year, they will win 5 straight titles.

I don't think this is what Mayfield fans think. I think they have heard so much hype from Beechwood folks over the years that they believe it will be the same old same old this year. This really is Beechwood's last chance for a few years to show they can actually beat Mayfield. They have the talent. Now it is up to the execution part.

This is a good, solid team! The best since 2011, but we would have to debate how they are compared to that team.
