You don´t think Boyle could have won 6A this past year?

Boyle County was one of the teams that came to mind when I was talking about a team winning multiple championships. Boyle could play up to 6A and be a factor or even win it.

Unless your a team whose won multiple titles I can not buy your playing up to challenge yourself. Now I could buy some guys playing up for travel purposes. If you have schools within an hour drive in the same classification no need to move up IMO.

Great research, I admit I never look very closely at the logo. I do remember when they used EKU logo, I knew they switched a few times. Is there a process that a school must go through to switch a logo?

I would think Trigg would fight with Union for the district championship.

I can remember back to the mid-90´s and Caverna has always used that logo.

Very tough schedule I would say 7-3 would be an excellent season. I would have loved for them to be playing Campbellsville as well.

But on the other hand it values weaker out of state competition though. The best team from Texas and the worse team from Maine have the same RPI rating. So it actually helps the low level teams, who play bad teams it gives them a solid RPI boast.

I was shocked Etown elected to play down. Once Central made it known they planned to stay in 3A Bardstown had their mind made up. Yes that 4A district 1 is good, but I don't believe they are better year in and year out that CAL or Central.

Generally travel in football tames multiple buses, and usually a separate equipment trailer as well.

From a win/loss standpoint Barren and Warren Central made the best choice.

As long as your able to move around to duck certain teams it will always be issues. Warren Central and Barren County could be in a district with BG, South Warren, and Greenwood. Both played up and taking hour plus trips to avoid them.

I understand the thought that areas with more money and resources have some advantages. Somebody posted the numbers I didn't look at them, but I'm sure on the other hand you have inner city/ independent school district with high percentage of Free/reduced lunch. I'm also sure you have rural county schools with high percentage as well. Not really seeing how that can determine how successful a football program can be. I would guess that Louisville Central and Johnson County Central both have a very high percentage of free/reduced lunch. Both have had success in football one inner city and other is rural county school. So not sure how classifying schools that way will make any difference.

So, does each school that request to play up get granted?

I would agree with this statement. Left it far better job than he found it. I would assume it would attract some solid interest. Peach and Cross would be solid veteran Coachs to take over imo. And some of the younger guys mentioned would be solid as well.

I agree lateral move at the very best. I would say that Casey is/has been the better job over the past 25-30 or so years. Haven't researched but not sure of the actual numbers, but I would say they've had around 10 seasons with 5 plus win season. And they also have around that many playoffs wins I would say. I can only remember Adair having 2 back to back seasons where they won a playoff game. Who is the QB that is coming with him? Adair does have some decent talent, and if he can change the culture they can have a solid program.

What is the reasoning behind Bardstown wanting to move up? Once they actually release the district pairings will they give teams another chance to move?

There have been 19 year old kids playing high school sports for as long as I can remember. Rather they start school late, or get held back in middle school I see no difference. Families make the best choice for their child. As the gentleman stated above some kids have no interest, and rather move forward in life. Rather that is college, trade school ,or work force and nothing is wrong with that. Others wanted the extra year, and nothing is wrong with that.

For some reason Union kicked to one of the most dangerous players in the entire state to opening the game and he took it to the house. 2nd or 3rd play Union throws a pick. Union does a fake punt inside their own 20 and doesn’t get it. IMO they went away from the run game to quick, and throwing 60 passes a game is never good. did bardstown played bad against Nelson last week, or just held back with the play calling?

Hart County will be playing for their 1st District Championship in school history. If Casey wins they are no worse than a Tie for 1st in the district, as they still have to play Glasgow. VERY big game for both programs.

There is something up with Cal imo. Seems very early to offer this kid imo. 2 years from now with the transfers and recruits a lot of moving parts on a roster.

I prefer natural grass, but turf solves a lot of problems. With Football (high/middle/youth) , boys/girls soccer it puts lot of strain on a natural field.
