The Dragons travel to Monroe County to take on the Falcons. I believe the Dragons come out ready to play in this one and right the ship and get into the win column again. The Dragons put up over 450 yards of offense last week with Blake Houchens having 200 plus yards rushing and receiving while Seymour had 80 plus yards rushing and scored 3tds. QB Hodges threw for 180 yards and looked solid again in this game, and I look for that to continue this week. 

Monroe had a tough sledding going against Barren, and couldn't get anything going offensively. The Dragons defense has been the issue this year, so Monroe may have some success and could win this game if the Dragons overlook them and play a bad game.

The Dragons are a dangerous team offensively, and can score with the best of them, but if they want to win district or play deep into the playoffs, they will need to figure out how to stop teams defensively. 

Who do you think wins this game and why?

You hit the nail on the coffin. Defense, Defense, Defense.  If Green had a decent defense they would more then likely be setting at 3-0 instead of 1-2. Houchens, had his best game of the season last week versus Taylor. I would love to see him moved back as Linebacker, and try someone else on the end. This should close a few gaps in the run defense. I have faith in Coach Phelps. I believe he will find the right combo, and get his defense tidy. I think this team is better then they have showed. Too much tanlet on that team to be 1-2 right now. When they can build confidence, momentum, and Play as a team they are gonna be dangerous. 

 At Monroe I expect Green to win. Monroe is gonna be hungry searching for that win. Does Green come in, and manhandled Monroe out of frustration? Friday we shall see. Give me Green by 21.

Seems like @xLAZYx hit the nail on the head.  If Green is to achieve a long playoff run, you likely need to make personnel adjustment defensively to give yourself a chance to do that.  That will require great game management by the coaches because to play the whole game both ways is pretty tough, but to do so situationally should be doable for your best guys.

I could see that later in the season. But truthfully, it’s not necessary at this point. I’m sure when district play rolls around/the playoffs it will be all hands on deck on the defensive side of the ball. Can’t get eliminated in week 4.

Maybe I’m wrong, just another line of thinking.

I think this is a good point Wishbone!  My response question is:  did Green expect to beat the teams they have lost to thusfar through the season?  If the answer is yes and the district/playoff teams are as tough or tougher than the teams you've lost to already, then a plan is needed.  Is it not?

From my experience, it's very hard to just turn a new system/approach on and make it work well right out of the gate.  It takes time.

But these are debatable points that are fun to have.

Green gets back in the win column this week.  I believe they should win by at least 4 tds.

If you haven’t ever had that sliced shoulder it’s really good.

BBQ in Tville is great! Green rolls in this one though. 

I believe that Monroe has improved, but green big in this one.
