  1. Completely Agree... It's all nice! Maybe those AAU teams could show up at the all A
  2. appreciate the honesty .. In the words of Chris Carter..C'mon Man... The thread was about Power Rankings..your comment to legend ranking was "nice! " ...then when others chimed in with other rankings your opinion turned to questioning rankings that you had just given a "nice!" Don't get me wrong ...Legends are an excellent team that can compete with anyone .. I think the overall point is NKY seems to have a boat load of 2016 grads that are really talented and kudos to all the young ladies that worked hard last summer with a lot of positive results. Legends, Stars, Cincy Swish, Cincy Finest, Legacy...Premier...all with NKY talent that we get to see in school ball action ...should be fun year!
  3. http://image.aausports.org/dnn/girlsbasketball/Club-PowerRankings/10thGrade-DI.pdf I believe you are correct RC... many of the teams on the attached list were definitely not at the National tournament...
  4. Make that Shining Stars and apologies for the typo:)http://pdf
  5. Agree on overall talent in NKY. Both Sining Stars 2016 teams finished in top 25 D1 Power Rankings... Team Schwartz 16th and Team Lay 22nd.
  6. Keep in mind the list is potential to play college, which I believe would be different than top list of players based on current impact on their HS l aiduteams. As to your points: 1 Absolutely agree on Ware. 2 Ryle returns 4 sophomore starters from last year. All 4 have received college interest. Unfortunately this doesn't mean they are favorites to win anything. Does mean they have several players that have potential to play at next level and could be a dangerous team if talent utilized. 3 HHS is definitely a favorite and one of the reasons is maximizing talent. Clearly any list like Bolus is going to be based on either individual observation or exposure player has received. Obviously players that attend exposure events have a better chance of making the list. But attending only does not put you on the list. Congrats to the 9th region girls that made the list... I'm sure there are others that deserve it so lets hope they get the exposure needed for the next level.
  7. Congratulations to talented well coached Legacy team. According to AAU site Shining Stars Schwartz 10th grade team has also advanced to D1 Championship bracket. Could be great chance for Northern KY talent to face each other in the National Championship game.
  8. Congrats to CovCath! Only 3rd time ever a 9th region team brings home the trophy..way to do Northern KY proud!!
  9. Agree... Thanks Lawnboy!!
  10. 33rd District: Ryle vs Conner should be a great game. They split in the regular season both winning on the road. Agree Boone Cooper will be great game as well. So come out to Union Tuesday night for a great doubleheader!
  11. Final from Union tonight. Hats off to Pandas for hitting some key outside shots when they needed them and hitting their free throws in the 4th to close it out. Lady Raiders had this one within 3 with less than a minute left. They close out the regular season with New Cath tomorrow and Holy Cross Thursday.
  12. I was not there but agree with what the video clearly showed. Did the ref call the intentional? And either way, did the coach pull the player out for a calm down teaching moment? It is unfortunate that two quality programs with great talent can be overshadowed by flagrant incidents and parents in the stands. As parents, lets cheer on, root on, groan over the bad plays and yes there will be a few " come on ref" groan moments too. But they should be within reason. How we react in the stands to controversy and Adversity sets the example for our daughters.
  13. Final from Union last night. Likely to be a 1st round district rematch for these two. Poor shooting by Ryle in this one but credit to Conner foe aggressive D and hitting free throws when it counted.
  14. Final from Union last night.
  15. Congratulations to Lady Bulldogs for the win over Ryle. Holmes came out with great speed and Hot shooting in the first quarter to open a 13 to 0 spread.... Ryle picked up multiple fouls quickly which led to several starters watching from the bench all of the 2nd quarter while Holmes built a 20 point lead. Lady raiders lost by 19 but you can't play even in the 2nd half to get a comeback. This was the Lady Raiders poorest shooting/rebounding game of the year. Credit to Holmes for hitting first half shooting and speed to get to the basket. Then is was hold the ball and force Raiders to foul. Would be a great rematch in regionals but both teams have a fight to get there.
  16. Yes. This should be a great district game as Conner is hungry for a win and lady raiders coming off a loss to Boone and also hungry for a W. Ryle also has Cooper tomorrow so it's chance to either muddy waters or take clear top spot in the district.
  17. Tough loss for Lady Raiders but hats off to Boone. Switzer and knots had great games. Ryle was within 2 late in the 3rd but Boone pushed to 5 point lead in the 4th and hit their free throws the rest of the way. Likely to see these teams face off in districts with one going to regionals and one ending their season. 33rd District Tourney will be held at Ryle this year.
