I thought Boone was going to struggle badly this year. Time will tell if this is a good win for Boone, or a bad loss for Highlands. Hope Boone and Ryle are able to compete with Conner and Cooper this season.

This is interesting. Each poster has their own coach they are backing. It is okay to back someone without slamming the other candidates. There are several good candidates and Scott is benefitting from being the only big school opening in NKY.

Not to go too far off topic, but Listerman has coached at Holmes for 2 seasons, one of which ended in the regional finals. Why does he seem to be disliked so much?

Logical choice. Congrats to both Coach Dawn and Coach Collopy. He has a great support staff around him and I only see success in his future. NewCath loses Weyer but they have a lot talent in the Junior and Soph classes. I would think they are #3 or #4 in the region next season behind Cooper and Covington Catholic.

What is the background of their AD? Any ties to other schools?

No doubt. For the record, I think he is a great coach, I just wanted to point out the little separation between what some would consider great success or no success. It's such a fine line.

Question: If the kid misses the shot vs. Campbell Co., is everyone still saying all these things? They are district runner up and out in the first round of the regional tournament. Basketball is funny. The ball goes in the basket and your team strings together a nice run, but if the shot misses, you suddenly are a washed up coach.

Given that Bezold has probably played/shot there hundreds of times, I'd expect an above average performance from him. If the Dixie team that destroyed Scott on that floor shows up, could be a great matchup.

Congrats to the Senior group for St. Henry. They could have packed it in after the poor start to the season. Adam Geotz has been a pleasure to watch over the years. He quietly developed into the most dangerous Point guard in the region. Good luck on the next level if you choose to go that route.

Is this SK senior class the same one that won the NKY freshman championship once upon a time? Or is that the junior group?

NewCath can name the score. They have Newport's number year in and year out. How many has NCC won in a row over Newport? Any Ws in the Snapp era?

I wouldn't say Beechwood's offensive style of play is much of an attraction to the young players considering their options. I would imagine the tempo would increase with more talent though.

Given Brossart's style on play, the game will be low scoring and the win margin for either team won't be higher than 8. I think Brossart does a better job of using their inside game this time around. I'll go 48-42 Bishop Brossart.

I know CCH lost this game in the regular season. Did they have any other losses?

HC will have their hands full, but congrats on making it to the finals. Current senior class is large and the Indians could go young next year like they did a few years back with this senior class.

Was told the current athletic directors agreed to switch back to a blind draw to break ties in the future. The current system was put in place by previous ADs at each school.
