Congrats to the Senior group for St. Henry. They could have packed it in after the poor start to the season. Adam Geotz has been a pleasure to watch over the years. He quietly developed into the most dangerous Point guard in the region. Good luck on the next level if you choose to go that route.

Wonderful kid. He played a fantastic 1st quarter, a solid 2nd quarter, and Kyler Padgett did a great job face-guarding him in the 3rd quarter holding him scoreless.

 

SHDHS had EVERY opportunity to win that game, but kudos to the Cougs for taking advantage of their opportunities.

To many turnovers in the second half for St.Henry. Some due to Conners defense, many unforced.

Hemmerich played a heck of a game for the Cougars. He was money all night. Connley with a nice game. #30 with a big 1 and 1 when Conner was up by one late in the game. A solid team win.

Hate this time of year and love it at the same time. St.Henry says good bye to 4 really good kids (Goetz,Wallenhorst,Hannon and Williams). Goetz did nothing but solidify himself as one of the very best in the region. Kid can play and should do well at the next level. Some college coach (d2) would do well to offer the kid.

Conner has proven in the tourney that you don't want to let it come down to the wire with them.

I told MTGL yesterday that people don't realize how good Hemmerich is due to his injury. He's a top 10 player next season and if he stays healthy will put a lot of points on the board.

What a way to start the regional tourney. I enjoyed every second of it, and it really highlighted some players tonight that haven't been talked about nearly as much as they should have been.

And St. Henry...how deceiving is that for a 14-16 team entering the the tourney? They played so poised you would have never guessed that this was their first time on that floor this season.

 

Saw some really good quality ball tonight that right out of the gate raised the bar, and it was sad that one of the teams would not be advancing.

 

The Crusaders played a damn good game and have nothing to hang their heads about. I saw out of them and this whole game some of the most legendary action ever in a 9th region tournament game that I won't soon be forgetting. Highlight footage of this game would be fantastic in anyone is capable of putting such footage together. I do certainly hope that this entire game was filmed. It certainly was filled with some splendid quality action. :thumb:
