Good win for Newport. Seems like they are developing into a solid team a year earlier than expected. Coach Snapp has to get some credit for the development of this team. Seems like last years team was a roller coaster ride while this team seems to be more enjoyable to coach. Congrats to the Wildcats of Newport. -

Deontae Allen disagrees. These days, if you can play at a D1 level, they will find you. Especially with AAU ball getting kids more and more exposure. -

Beat the home team in the first round??? Great win for the Raiders! Don't expect an invitation back. -

Looks like Rodgers was on fire. Holy Cross needs to find a way to win these close games. -

Was the game closer than the final score indicates? -

REALLY want to see Bowling Green play Covington Catholic. -
Even if the coaches have the stats and purposefully do not post them?

The second quarter seems to bring out Covington Catholic's best basketball. -
Do you think it would help if Lloyd knew 3 point percentages? Perhaps who to foul at the end of the game? While I am not a coach, these would certainly help coaches in situations.

I'm confident Highlands will figure it out. As for Bishop Brossart, this is going to be a tough year. Is Campbell County's success hurting them? -
If a team is not recording stats onto the KHSAA website on purpose, is it cheating? In the NKY area, I've noticed Augusta, Dayton, and Williamstown all do not report stats. Maybe cheating is a harsh word, but it absolutely gives a team a competitive advantage. Why would any team report stats if they do not have to?

Close the entire way. That district always seems to have a couple games with results that are unexpected.

With this score, did Listerman bench his starters to prove a point, or were they out there the whole time? I know Brad Carr had no hesitation doing this at Scott. You would scratch your head at the outcome only to see his guys respond next game. While I wasn't there, Im just taking a stab of perhaps what happened. -

Bradfield should really be able to take advantage of the lack of size in the 9th region this season. Great touch around the basket. Last time I saw him, it looked like he put on some weight. He is a difference maker on the defensive side as well. -

Two evenly matched teams and a similar style of play. Sounds like a fun game to watch. Kelch is improving and has a chance to make a big impact in the 8th this season. -

Can we schedule Bowling Green vs. Covington Catholic tomorrow afternoon? Would love to see those two collide. -
Appears neither team shot the ball real well. Commodore seems to be making a leap his Junior year.

56-42 final according to KHSAA scoreboard -
Could be a nice first gig for a young coach looking to work up the coaching chain.

I thought Jefferson would be more of a factor this season. Dixie is solid and has nice size. Bradfield seems more assertive this year, as does Meyer. Schweitzer's shooting will help keep teams from doubling down on Bradfield. To me, the X factor for Dixie may be Schreck. If he plays well, they are going to be a tough out come tournament time. -
Congrats to Coach Volpenhein!

I am shocked by this one. I know Conner is strong, but I really felt Campbell would handle them by 10-15 points. Congrats to the Cougars! -

Akeem Riley can play! Scott as a whole is too much for Calvary. Still not convinced Scott is at the top of the 10th region, but then again, I'm not sure who I would put there.
