Big 2nd qtr for the Cougars.

 

2 big games in a row for Hurst. Good to see Savannah Jordan putting up some numbers as well. Talented SOPH class.

The Camels turned the ball over a ton in this game...probably 20+ times...and they still had a chance to win in the 4th quarter.

Why so many turnovers?

Congrats to the Cougars on a very nice win! Campbell is always a tough and well coached team. Watching Conner scrimmage in preseason, you could tell they had a lot of talent. It was just kind of wreck less, without a leader. A lot of rushed, bad decisions with turnovers and still a work in progress. Kudos to the coaches and players for getting it done and putting a nice early season win in the books.

How many FTs did Hurst shoot? I know she is an outstanding 3 point shooter. If she can consistently create FT opportunities she will be a more consistent scorer - and I believe one of the top scorers in the area.

I assumed they pressed, but I didn't think it would have that much effect on the Camels. Clos and Schwarber stay in the game the whole time? Did they expose a Camel weakness?

Tell the camels to take it easy on Henderson.

Some of it was the pressure D from Conner, albeit was a 3-2 zone, but several turnovers were from careless play...unforced turnovers.
