It's early but it seems like CovCath is the clear cut favorite in the 9th and the only possible threat to them is Cooper.

Pretty sure that was the first loss for St. X at each level. Very nice showing for the CovCath program.

CovCath cruises past St. X

 

Covington Catholic’s basketball program has a storied legacy and is one of the few teams that has dominated St. Xavier over the past few years.

 

The visiting Colonels defeated St. X 73-47 Friday night at the Brother Johns Wills Activity Center. Since 2011, the Tigers (3-1) have only lost by 20 or more points six times, CovCath (4-0) is responsible for four of those losses.

 

“You have to give a lot of credit to Covington Catholic,” St. X head coach Kevin Klein said. “They play the game the right way. They’re very physical and take you out of what you want to do. Offensively, they space the floor and move the ball so well and have so many weapons. If you cheat off one guy they make you pay with another guy. They play high level basketball on both ends.”

If my math is correct CVH now has 1,726 career points at CCH (not counting his VMA year).
