Trigg goes for Two comes up short. These two teams seem to have exciting games reminiscing of their 1st round playoff game 3 years ago.

I played for my dad in high school I have to say I hated it my freshmen and sophomore year. My old man was an old school coach who would chew out everyone at any point in practice. We were 80+ deep. I was the scout team QB/Wr and took a butt kicking Monday thru Wednesday. Sometimes before practice he would go biblical on us and I dreaded pass skelly that day. Running slants and skinny post I knew I was going pay the price of 1st team defense anger.. Lol they look forward hitting me. Two broke ribs (never miss practice) multiple knockouts, and my body was always black and blue. My Junior year I was good enough to start but there wasn’t much difference between me and another player who started over me. Dad always told me to start I have to be clearly better than the next guy up. Played a lot but didn’t start. My senior year I started both sides of the ball. With all this said and done I’m glad my dad was the head coach but boy it wasn’t always easy.

This would be a great hire.. He was PT OC and lead the state twice in scoring. Great dude who’s all about football.

Lol well on the bright side at least Belfry not going to Fulton KY..

This will be the quickest game Friday night as both teams run it 90% of the time. I'm taking Union in this one don't think Belfry has enough team speed to contain Johnson once he gets past the LOS to the 2nd level. The Johnson kid should be a front runner for player of the year no one makes more of an impact for his team as he does.

Was happy to see Christian County improving.. They really got some nice looking skill kids specially at the WR spot. If they can improve getting more numbers out and get some size on the line they could win some game next season. They got a good shot winning this Friday..

Hancock is a super solid team 3A with a stingy defense and likes to spread you out mixing the run with the pass. Experience team with some good underclassmen. Very well coached and plays with some enthusiasm. Trigg has been hit hard by injuries loosing their Star Freshmen QB Timmy Williams to a ACL injury second game of the season and their leading WR to a broken collar bone. Had to revamp the offense to traitor what's best for the team. Trigg's run defense has came a long way from seasons past which has made them a better team. I think Trigg is 1 year away from being really good all their best players are underclassmen. Gude could be Trigg's best RB since Al Baker. 6'0 220 and is usually the fastest guy on the field.

The best game in WKY this week is this one. Usually a close game I like to pick the team with a proven QB so that would go to Graves. I think Mayfield is better upfront on both sides of the ball so this really is a toss up.

So the dude who is in the group Smashing Pumpkins went to Atherton. I knew Robert Ebrick famous movie critic was from atherton

Think I'm going to go this game haven't been to a Atherton game since 1979.. As much as I want Atherton to win think Owensboro has too many players for the Ravens. Hope I'm wrong.

I remember some teams Marshall field during the mid 80"s that were very tuff.. Line up in a wishbone and came right at you behind a big massive line. Very well coached can't remember the head man's name do recall he had Vanderbilt ties. Do remember they play at home against St.X and only lost 28-0 in the semis one year. Some advantages of being the head coach at Marshall is it's a nice place to live. Program historically has money and you're living beside one of the best man made lakes in the world. What makes it tuff to win is you're playing team in your district and region that has way more speed than you do. Let's be honest most kids in Marshall County are not built that way. You will have some years with some speed but team speed has always been a issue with them.

Agree with this post but they should be successful the first year of consolidation due to the fact 6A football in WKY is very weak.. Your main competition will be Henderson County who is on a downswing right now. Davies County, McCracken County are below average 6A teams compared to the rest of the state. Until the last 4/5 years Christian handled Henderson pretty regularly. Basketball, Wrestling and Baseball will be top notch the first year.. With the right hire football won't be far behind.

Game of the year in WKY..

I think this is the best PT in the last 20 years.. I'll don't anyone going to score 3 or more TD's on this defense till playoff time.

Union did lose some key players from last years team but seem to always find guys to step up when you think they will be down. Don’t sleep on the Braves..

Christian has a good shot winning this game.. County’s QB miles is one of the better running QB’s you will see this year and has two really good WR’s who have great length.. Defensively they have been giving up some points in the scrimmages but do run to the ball pretty good.. Like to see County have some success in their finial year of the program..
