I think this is a step up in the NCC schedule. Belfry will physically manhandle them. But at least NCC stepped up.

Nice effort by the Highlands boys. Keep working hard guys. Highlands basketball will keep improving with the people here now working hard. I've watched these kids grow up and like seeing them improving. As far as the few Covcath fans taking shots, really! Highlands basketball was good in the recent past and will be good again. On the contrary, those few may want to look closer at their own Covcath football which has an upset win in 97 and one good year in 2006 before casting stones. Other than that, they haven't been a good football team for 20 years. Let's keep it in perspective, Highlands basketball has been more successful over the last 20 years than Covcath football.

As a Highlands fan, I missed the kid. I wish him luck wherever he goes.

This kid is a heck of a football player. He could play somewhere on any team.

Highlands has gone very deep at the receiver position the last few years. Guys you don't expect this time of the year step up and make themselves known every year. I think that will happen next year. I'm also confident Hergott will work hard and be prepared to take over at QB.

I believe Ncc will do some things differently and win a rematch if they meet in the regionals tourney.

Ncc will win every game by double digits all the way thru the All A final game. I believe the loss to Covcath will renew Ncc's focus.

First time seeing Highlands this year. I like the teams hustle and athleticism. The guys play hard for Coach Listermann. I'm certainly no basketball guru, but I think the program just lacks the big, active, basketball year round post player to make them a legit contender. I'm not taking anything away from the guys playing down low, but a big center would do wonders for the perimeter guys. Snapp made shots. Does he always make that many? No doubt Highlands can win a district rematch and get to Regionals.

Knowing Jeff thru St. Thomas, he's a quality guy. He will do a good job. If he has the talent, there won't be a drop off in performance on the field.

Highlands has Hoge and Venneman. No lineman? No defensive players? No kicker who puts almost all his kicks in the end zone? I guess Highlands talent pool was dry after all. But at least there's another title trophy and a new year to paint on the scoreboard.

According to many the officials and Covcath beat NCC in the 9th region semi's last year. If not for the refs that day Ncc is the defending state champion. The refs also beat Ncc last night. Not Doss. Perhaps you could look at Ncc's all time record. Let's say for example its 432-373. Theres 373 times the refs decided a game.
