Freshmen and JV scores
I assume you have seen the Sacred Heart freshman (and St Henry/Highlands) play but why the comparison/speculation about them against Highlands? Don't get the connection?:sssh:

Actually '94 & '95 teams featured Ripberger, Imhoff, Kruger and Walz .......and a State runner-up?

Lexington Catholic 2015 Schedule
Wow, just giving props for good scheduling! I didn't suggest that anyone would beat anyone, just think they are a good challenge for each other. Given recent history, Covcath, Johnson, and yes the recently successful Cooper should be very good match ups for LexCath..... JMO

A little before my time but I'd like to hear some old St Thomas top 5. Hafle, Hardesty, GIesler are some late names that come to mind.... Others?- Lexington Catholic 2015 Schedule
This looks like a great schedule for Lexcath...... I like the challenges of a CovCath/ Cooper/Johnson on their schedule. Should be appropriately challenged and ready for District& playoffs. Very Nice!- Freshmen and JV scores
I believe the LadyBirds at HHS are 2-3 with wins against Dayton/Brossart and L's against SK/St Henry/NCC. Pretty inexperienced group that will get better (and a couple of injuries/sickness) Play TH at CampCo friday. JV similar results......... some talent coming through for Birds though.- Holy Cross 68 Newport 30
Does HC score exactly 68 points a game on purpose! lol- Highlands 49 Owensboro 42 (Class 4A State Championship)
I really didn't read on here where anyone said they were "scared of Highlands" in fact they played a great first half of football. They took advantage of HHS turnovers/ short punt and converted them to scores and executed a nice game plan on O, played with no critical penalties, had a couple of good bounces and won the first half. Highlands changed the game in the second half, first took away the pitch, then stopped the QB slant and dive, forced passing and intercepted the ball and converted scores. ( Btw, aren't all turnovers ill-advised) They played like champions do and ...... The better team did win. No shame for Owensboro, they played a good game and almost came away with the upset. Great effort by both, great game to witness.- Title Town
Actually you would be surprised how many football players at NCC are residents of Ft Thomas. For example just in the QB position over the last 15 yrs or so Sam Deihl, Jeff Smith, Rob Kues, covered about 8 yrs and I believe current QB Henschen are all FtT residents. That's just one position.- Beechwood vs Mayfield semifinal predictions
And just for the record, unless they circle I-275 a few times, it's not really 6 hours...... Just seems like it!:walk:- Highlands 37 Covington Catholic 34
0-2 in the whites..... Time to move on?- NKY Middle School Girl's Basketball 2014/15
HHs 6th grade won by about 10.....7th grade, Conner handled the Birds, lighting it up from behind the arc in the first Q jumping out to 9-0 lead. Birds played a better 2nd half but have some growing/development to do before they entertain the Conner crew again.Think it will get better for them as they progress through the season. Conner will be their benchmark !- Highlands 30 Ashland 15
That's true if you have a decent kicker and execute well in that facet of the game. (Remember we are talking HS and failure to execute can be disastrous) I recall a playoff game agianst HHS when Popham kicked for Covcath and they attempted several long FGs and although unsuccessful, ball moved forward to 20yd line so definitely worth the try!- Highlands 30 Ashland 15
Both missed FG were spotted at the 20..... HS rule.- Highlands 30 Ashland 15
Maybe a little too descriptive here, lol but I think many on here have given props to Ashland and they deserve it. Interesting to note, if you look back at many championship drives in HS football, there is usually a game along the way for the eventual champions. Maybe its the bump along the way for Highlands? Good luck to HHS ...... kudos to Ashland for finishing strong!- What does the Ashland/Highlands game being so close tell us about...
Not speculating because I witnessed this one........ HHS did not play well overall tonight. Two drives ended inside the 5yd line, another inside the 15 as the clock runs out in the half, the aforementioned 95 yd TD, a 12 yard punt, two missed FG....... Starting to get the picture? Not typical HHS performance but still doubled their opponents score so don't push the panic button yet folks! Will give some props to Ashland, they played some tough D and played inspired all night......Congrats to Nick Kendall ( the other stud Jr back in Ky!)- 2015 State Title Contenders
Gonna throw some love to the Camels from CC as a dark horse after their showing last year......- Playoffs Round 2 Simon Kenton/Lafayette Predictions
I predict that UK#1Fan will predict a huge Simon Kenton victory.......- Litkenhous Ratings 10/27
Thus the purpose of posting this nonsense at all...... I'm not biting.:ylsuper:- Highlands / Elder (OH) Predictions
Welcome, Cardinal#1Fan ! Lol- Cats Pause 9th Region Preview
Since you have come full circle on this football reference I would add that Highlands football team is also their basketball team this year as I believe Harris/Ball/? are about the only upperclassmen on the squad. Don't expect a lot of talk about this team until they complete time on the gridiron. When they do convene on the gym floor, I think Kevin Listerman will get the most out of his players, may be the new most underrated coach and Highlands might suprise some people this year.:thumb:- Highlands 1 Newport Central Catholic 0
I think you may be mistaken on #15 if that is Clukey, she is a life-long bluebird.......you are right on about #19 Steppe, shout out to Sophie who played a terrific game & is super competitive!- NKY Freshman Football Top 10 (No Order)
Haven't seen them all play so can't argue who is/isn't better but I'd add a few......starting with the MVP at HHS that has to be Crosley New #7 and shout some love for the linemen to Mr Dunn( #73 ?) I have stated before that I love the look of the QB at Conner #7....has all the tools/fundamentally sound. Raleigh at CampCo is tough also. - Your School's All-Time Starting 5
