Catlett- WV Big sleeper on this list, good DL, aggressive, reportedly had 21 tackles in a JV game tonight

Alex Thurza (RB/LB) from Scott absolutely belongs on this list, and Seth Yeary (OL/DL) also from Scott deserves a mention. And Parks from SK is probably the best running back I've seen.

SK Parks RB?

I have only watched one frosh game this year (CCH v Dixie).

Maher has nice potential. Really good deep ball. Can get better on arm strength and intermediate passes (as most frosh can do). He'll be strong physically so I don't think arm strength will be an issue.

Who can tell me how the big Conner QB compares to other top frosh QBs in the area? I saw him in a 7s this summer. Really nice size. He, too, throws a nice deep ball.

Drew Barker's nephew is a frosh at Dixie and runs well from what I'm told.

I'd throw Castleman from Beechwood in the mix, and he is only in the 8th grade.

I believe Conner's freshman QB is Cooper Guillon. My son and I ran into him before a basketball game last year. I would guess that he was 6'1, and 165 lbs. As we all know that kids change quickly at this age, so he could be much bigger this year.

Is their Freshman playoffs or championship game?

Josh Castleman's brother?

Yes

Very good list! I have seen Cooper twice, Conner, CovCath, Ryle, Highlands, and Simon Kenton's freshman teams play. I know Cooper's Schlarrmen sorry if I misspelled it only played a few freshman games and got pulled up and now starts Varsity. Based off what I have saw I wouldn't put Walters on the list for top 10. He is a good player, and looks the part however he is not as dominant as others. The Maile kid for CovCath looked very good at linebacker. Also whatever the name is of the Conner freshman QB should be in the top 10. He IMO has been the best QB I have seen this year at the freshman level.

Any thoughts on Catlett from this list?

I can't give a top 10- haven't seen everyone and don't know names- So I'll answer a little differently. These are kids who I think we will hear good things from in the next few years. From my admittedly biased viewpoint here is what I have:

From CCH

Mayer- QB

Maile- LB

Dyer- RB

Beagle- WR

Christman - W

Deters- LB

DeFraites- Safety

Ryle

Jake Chisolm - RB

I know they have several more- just don't know names

Cooper

Schlarman(?) QB/ Safety

Highlands

New(?)- #7. Just an athlete that can play anywhere

Had a couple linemen who moved really well and played with a high motor

Beechwood

#32- RB. Very fast

Several other good athletes

SK

Some nice sized linemen who played with high motors.

Dixie

Again- had a few very physical linemen who made things happen.

Posey from highlands is hands down the best wr in freshman football up here. He has caught 5 TD's the last 3 games. New is a animal. An SK Colton Williams is monster lineman.

I would have to add Raliegh (not sure of the spelling) from CCHS. Big physical back and will get some considerable playing time as a Soph
