LRCW Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Congrats to the Birds on the win. I'm proud of the way Ashland played tonight. A question for you Highlands fans that went to the game. Was this the worst game they've played all year, or was Ashland a little better than you thought?

75center Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Cold! Congrats to Ashland, played a heck of a game. HHS, you've got CCH coming, better get ready. 56 for Ashland dominated and Baker is something special. What was with the HHS snaps tonight?
DoTell Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Closer than many expected. I heard HHS had a lot of scoring chances inside the red zone but could not capitalize. Also heard there were a lot of dropped passes.
ggclfan Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 In first half, HHS had chances to put the game away but could not finish two drives inside the 5 yard line. But you have to give Ashland a lot of credit. They got a lot of pressure on Hoge in the second half and Baker is the real deal. HHS did not play anywhere near its best game but Ashland had something to do with that. For HHS, survive and move on - CCH week upcoming. That will wake the Birds up.
stinkyboy II Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Ashland did a better job of containing Hoge than any other team has this year. Many teams have been able to put pressure on Beau, but the Tomcats were able to him in check and sacked him several times. HHS is usually so efficient offensively, not tonight. Credit to Ashland coaches and players for executing a nice game plan.
hrcarrier Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Much closer than I expected; congratulations to the Birds on winning.

A question for you Highlands fans that went to the game. Was this the worst game they've played all year, or was Ashland a little better than you thought? Agree with Stinky. Ashland did a nice job defensively and contained Hoge very well. SO to Jr tailback Nick Kendall with 4 rushing TDs. In typical Highlands fashion, the offense took what the defense gave them and ran the ball north south very well. Very fine effort by Ashland. Baker in space is a handful.
Sweeperboy Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Nice effort by Ashland... Birds fell into the trap game thats for sure. These are dangerous games as teams have a tendency to get caught looking ahead and I think that was the case tonite. Lots of areas that need to be cleaned up from the top to the bottom and I am sure that will be the focus of this week...:thumb: Play of the game was the delay of the ball spot after each play to slow the pace of the game...Just sayin
BTI Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Wow indeed didn't see this coming Congratulations Highlands on the big win!
BigBaller Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Pretty sure most Birds fans expected Baker to break off a couple of good runs and that he did. Kid is quick! Birds offense struggled somewhat, however in typical Highlands fashion someone stepped up (Kendall) great game by #8!!!!

Neither happened. No running clock in the second half either.
G1 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Highlands looked disinterested. There were missed assignments, penalties, fumbles, questionable play calls, and way too many dropped passes. Good news is they won.
