Please tell me what is fare about playing a state final on your own home field. There is no other venue in the state they could have played at. Really. Please

This was an out right EMBARRASSMENT. Out played and out coached, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Could be a very early exit from the playoffs, which may be a blessing. Good Lord.

Yes, the ROCKS freshman are undefeated as well. They play the central freshman Thursday.

Much more so then I would have first anticipated. Thank goodness coach Smith has coach Kalbin to turn to for much needed advice and experience.

This was a really good game, played very well by both teams. Though I was happy the ROCKS won, I as proud with the way Nick Williams from Male played. He is my wife's nephew.Future looks very bright for the Dawgs.

I agree they should play as a regular season game. The scrimmage is fun and meaningful for the fans and a good indicator of how the team's are performing. However with Trinity having a difficult time finding locale programs to play and apparently Highlands is in the same boat. This is all the more reason they should play in the regular season.

Was a good showing for offense, Reggie looked good passing and running both. Haven't seen this type of speed at the qb position since Nick Petrino. Defense is coming along, but is replacing alot of starters. Curious to see the scrimmage vs Highlands Friday, be very anxious to see the adjustments made since the Thursday scrimmage. Ready for the season to start.

I heard that Ensworth, Tn. Is a possibility, if and only if they come to Trinity. Staff at Trinity will not travel 4 weeks in a row. Nor should they.

Congrats to Mr. Hicks, BC is a fine academic and athletic institution.

My vote goes to Bob Beatty, what he has done in the 12 years he has been at Trinity is amazing. Maintaining a program at a high level is just as difficult a job as getting one to the desired level. He has not only done this very successfully, but, at a National level the past couple of seasons. Making it to the State Title game 11 of those 12 years, 9 State Titles, and a mythical national Title to boot. If time on the job is a catagory, then no, he is not it. But what he has done with the short time he has been at Trinity. That is pretty much second to none.

Not hating in any way, but i have to agree here. Florida gets too many in state 4 and 5 star studs and athletes to consider relatively unknown young man from Ky. I do wish him luck however.

That's fantastic, he is certainly deserving. Had a great career at Trinity, happy to see someone one giving him a chance. Good Luck, show them how its done.

He wasn't even the best Lb in Louisville, Trinity's Bertram had that distinction, particularlly in head to head competition.

Interesting to consider, i would imagine there would be 3 less in the old trophy case. Considering Trinity has pretty well dominated the previous 3 big school state titles. Also, considering they have had their way with HHS in those 3 years preseason scrimmages. Would really like to see HHS and Trinity play in a regular season game.

Starting with post #46 are all pretty entertaining. 30 point favorites, former NFL players being great coaches, all those placement test takers. This is all conjecture until it actual happens. One thing is for certain, there are proven coaches at a particular school in St. Matthews that are not impressed or worried. Cannot not wait for the new season to get started.

Considered a top 14 Qb, yet has not played hardly Any varsity Qb (was back up to Travis Wright- not a bad Qb himself). Really excited to see him play next year. Seen some of his highlights on YouTube, and he is a good athlete. Congrats to Mr. Bonnafon.

From the little he has played at Qb, Reggie, IMO, would be rated higher, had he been able to play more at the varsity level. However he is a talented athlete. Certain he will have a very good senior year.

I was also fortunate enough to see some of the best from the past. Hennessey, the Rittle's, Servino, Keith Calvin. Just to name a few. I would rank young Dylan up there with them all. He was a little faster, also very elusive simlar to old #44. Man, those where some great times too.

I am kinda curious myself. Mr Quick is Mr. Football (and deservedly so). Yet finishes second in voting in the Courier Journal All State team to Jackson from Mayfield. Very curious.

One notable player missing from the list is Trinity's Daeshawn Bertram. He had a great year, and at the very least deserves to be on the honorable mention team. Was the best defensive player on the field in the KY vs Louisville game.

Congrats to Mr Quick...should have never been a doubt. He was clearly the best player in KY.

I heard about this, shortly after Petrino was hired. Question...would he risk leaving for a boss who most certainly will leave after a couple seasons, then have the future up in the air. If I where him, I would seriously consider this possibility. Great opportunity though. Hope he stays where he is at.
