Awesome. Wish he would have found his way to any other school :lol:, but I think being a preferred walk-on at a program like UF would be awesome. Hope he does well and can make an impact somewhere in their program :thumb:.

Strictly football. He went to one of Will Muschamp's camps back in the summer and wowed the coaches. They didn't have any more scholarships available, but he says that the coaches said he can earn one, which is likely to happen.

 

Will be interesting when Florida comes to Commonwealth Stadium this season because Garrett and his family have been season ticket holders all of Garrett's life. HUGE Kentucky fan! His sister attends Florida so that is ultimately why he wanted to go down there.

Sorry, but if you think Florida is going to give an unranked player from Kentucky a scholarship your crazy. I doubt he earns one either seeing as how they get mostly 4 star and some 3 star guys. I hope he enjoys his time, but if they led him to believe he might get a scholarship they lied.

Can't do that anymore I don't think. I think if he's on any athletic scholarship, he counts toward football.

Not hating in any way, but i have to agree here. Florida gets too many in state 4 and 5 star studs and athletes to consider relatively unknown young man from Ky. I do wish him luck however.

No, you're right. You talked to the Florida coaching staff and they told you there is no chance that he can earn a scholarship. They definently lied to him I'm sure.

Garrett is a nice young man, hope he can see the field, but doubt he will. From what I hear his sister is a heck of a swimmer down there too.
