Agree 1000%, very vanilla offense..need a lot more excitement and energy on the team. Don’t see it coming from this staff!!

It’s really no secret that Beatty didn’t work at all to bring in the talent, the last several years he coached. He planned to retire the a few years before he actually did, but changed his mind because he wanted to coach the freshman class that came in (class that won the last State Title), to add to his legacy. I believe his wife also wanted a few more years at her position before retiring. Beatty absolutely changed his attitude and approach to Trinity and the football teams future and transition at the end. He gave no personal insight or recommendations to his heir apparent, which is not complete shock but a little surprising! Beatty was a great coach and evaluator of talent, but an enigma of a man. You either liked him or you didn’t!

“ ” True, and that list is growing larger by the day. Truth be told, most would like to see him leave after this season. It’s also no secret he has done nothing to “Sell Trinity” as a viable option for academics and athletics. The last two freshman football teams are perfect examples of this. I have been told, quite a few of the coaches in the CSAA and the other leagues, are not fans of him or his coaching. I have heard, there have been some several “on the fence” players that choose to attend other programs, instead of Trinity, because of the coach!

Rocks where thoroughly out coached and out played!!

I expected a better showing from FD then this. Not much fight in them. Trinity looks good, but with this game, hard to judge.

Last night was a typical scrimmage, first team offense vs Second team defense, and second team offense vs first team defense. At this point, defense is a little ahead of offense regarding talent and ability to carry the team. Rocks will rely on the defense early on in the season, while the offense works out some kinks. At this juncture the offense is a little of a mystery. Time will tell.

Seth Jutz will be a senior this season.

I understand the 7on 7 has been moved to Cal. With the same start time at 7.

I would think expectations for this season are the same as every other season. Win district, undefeated season and the 6A title.

It’s my understanding that as of now, there are no plans to hire a new OC. Beatty is going to take over those duties.

“ Is he from that area? Seems like lateral move unless getting paid more.” He apparently has family in the area. Not sure about the financial arrangement.

Just got news, Trinity’s Coach Coverdale is leaving for Cincinnati St.X, to be their OC.

Seth Jutz, Trinity’s Qb is in attendance as well.

Yes, but they where still supposed to spank the Rocks. I believe it was stated, that SC is still on another level, without him!

Wow, that’s hardly the blowout most where predicting. Rocks are still hanging in there, without one of the states best players!!!
