Trinity to play Marist (IL)

What can anyone tells us about Marist?

8-2 last season

Only beat Cincy Withrow by 15 last season.

Lose 32 seniors(Graduating).

88 players on roster last season.

I see blowout potential. Good for T for landing another game to complete their schedule. You have to play who you can get.

LOL Blowout?

Marist has one of the top tight ends in the country - Nic Weisher a first-team All-American last season by MaxPreps - and several other skill players with Division I offers.

Plus, they're an 8-A team from Illinois and wouldn't be traveling to Louisville to get blown out. Have a mutual friend whose son is on the team and they've had 3 or fewer losses 5 years in a row.

My son goes to college with a few Marist former football players and they talked about this matchup the other nite.

T is T but I dont think they will be the same wrecking machine that they have been for the last 2yrs so instead of a 6 td difference T will still win this one by at least 3-4 tds from the reports Iam receiving.

Gives Marist a chance to see where they stack up against one of the best programs in the Midwest.

Lost in the 1st rd of the playoffs the past 3seasons.

Marist is probably a little better than Fairdale. I see a lenghty return trip.

I believe Trinity is still a game short. Thanks Guru. It is a shame Rockpride or All Tell couldn't bring us the news.
I like their confidence including all rounds of playoffs on the schedule. I imagine opening at Soldier Field is awesome.

Na that should be 10.

They play in the same conference as my sons' school (Joliet Catholic). We have had some wild games with Marist. They used to be a Southside whipping boy but have made great strides in getting players that would normally go to Mt. Carmel, Brother Rice and St. Rita. Those three are all-boy schools...Marist is co-ed. I really like their young coach and they are rarely out-coached. They have made early exits in recent playoffs but Illinois 8A is tough right from the start with big, well-coached suburban schools.

I have no idea how they will do against Trinity but I'd be surprised by a blowout. They'll be athletic, scrappy and deep.

This will be my first season in a while without a son playing high school football. My profile picutre is my oldest son and the player is the background on this touchdown run is from Marist in 2008.

Na that should be 10.

How do you figure, Sports Fan?

OPEN, Carmel, Lawrence Central, Colerain, OPEN, Cathedral, St. Xavier, Manual, Male, Marist, and Moeller.

I do apologize for misspeaking. I thought it was 10. Doesn't T play warren central?

I heard that Ensworth, Tn. Is a possibility, if and only if they come to Trinity. Staff at Trinity will not travel 4 weeks in a row. Nor should they.
