This makes two weeks in a row the Birdboys failed to put up points in the 1st qtr of play.....

You must've been in the press box with headphones on....It was obnoxiously loud...no reason for it as the crowd was silent.

Campbell ran that screen pass for what seemed like 12x in a row to #3 and not once did the Birds put any pressure on him. Camels looked very solid and if their qb would've been more relaxed in the pocket, he would've completed many more passes. Birds pass defense thoughts?

Who do I talk to about turning down that speaker....It nearly blew us out of our seats during intermission breaks....folks were holding their ears it was so loud....not enjoyable

I say they're wasting Feggins more.

Not sure if the Birds were known for their run defense last year.

Heat played a factor as well. Those kids were sizzling in the sun with nowhere to hide that day. I felt sorry for them......only after the first half.

With the Alexandria Fair this coming weekend, the Camels may be amped up to represent the county. This may just be a dogfight for at least a half.

Looks like Bryan Station picked one heck of a schedule with BG this friday followed by Highlands.....I'm sure folks will be watching the outcome of these two matchups. I like that Bryan Station appeared to take on all comers......Good luck friday Purps.

Both play Warren Central this year so we'll get an idea of the team talent with that result.

He's always been harmless when I've been around him. I think most opposing fans take him with a grain of salt, but UC's fans were unlike any that I've ever seen. Those two rows under the press box were louder than the entire Bluebird fan base including the band, IMO. One guy was screaming incessantly 5 minutes before gametime to "light someone up for no reason!" It was a pretty rabid crew to say the least, but no blood was drawn this day.

It's a tie between the Johnson Central announcers and Lexington Catholic's........not.

Well said, I had said the same thing earlier after watching the replay of the game. Looking back, this was a brilliant choice of game for Dale. Former 2A champ with some street credibility with a predictable offense against his "deepest team ever". Was the perfect storm, IMO and made Highlands appear as a goliath. I think we all knew his hurry up offense against Trinity was going to come into play this past week. The writing was on the wall.

Can someone tell me how playing a team like Highlands can be beneficial to the Camels? I don't see one positive aspect to this argument.

I see Highlands was so impressive this past Saturday that the CCH faithful have already started their freshmen team thread.:eek:

Put Drew in Towles body and you have an NFL bound quarterback. He's as pure a passer as you'll see in high school football but he is not D1 IMO. He'll make a mockery of 4A opponents this year, but in the end, will genetically fall short of Gino and Jared.
