Congrats to the Birds.

Excellent game for the Birds! I hope the whole state is proud of them today! :thumb:

Just got home from this one.....the longest game in high school history, the TV timeouts were killer especially sitting in the sun sweating like a pig. :banghead:

UC was in complete control the 1st quarter and a half, the Highlands offense was anemic at best during this time. However, the cream rises to the top, and the Birds flexed their muscles and just wore UC down. Nice job by the Birds from this point on. Two things that struck me dumb....UC 's inability to get plays in from the sideline, they looked totally confused. Also was it just me or did it look like the RB's for UC didn't accelerate up field after the hand off???? Looked like they were in slow motion then they would turn it on. :idunno: Highlands was in far better condition which is a credit to the coaching staff and to the players as well. Nice crowd on hand and the scoreboard and press box look awesome.

Harris is a load and Wrobleski was an animal on "D", had some hellacious hits. :ylsuper:

Caught most of this game. Amazing job by Highlands! Very proud of the way they represented KY!

Nice job. Congrats on the win!!!!

The hottest game I've ever been to. I was completely soaked.

Was great to get to watch this one on ESPN.

What a program Highlands has and they looked very good today.

Nice job. Congrats on the win!!!!

Ditto! Very well done.

Congratulations to Highlands for the huge win on national TV! The coaches and players really came up big today! Go 'Birds!

Great win for Highlands. The new scoreboard is all that and a bag of chips. So is the team. Dale is an amazing coach. We watched up until the early part of the 4th quarter, then the daughter-in-law coaxed me into going with her to the market for dinner supplies.

Oddly enough, I'm in Apopka for my grandson's 2nd birthday party. There were several teachers here from Apopka High so we were watching the previous game. A couple stayed for this game, but everybody left before we got any new word on the Apopka quarterback, short of what ESPN reported at the half.

Highlands fans.....your QB is one heck of a player, excellent arm.

Highlands is the real deal. Very impressive. Just a thought though on UC's constant struggle to get get plays ran in enough timee: doyou think they have play clocks at all fields in Florida and they didn't know how much time they had left between plays? I find it hard to believe that a Florida state power school was that inept.

Congratulations to the Birds. I love seeing KY teams win these interstate games.

The UC QB seemed to understand the urgency. His body language toward the coaches showed that, but the coaches seemed to be very nonchalant, like they had no clue time was running out.

Man was it hot. Sat in the stands for about 5 minutes and had about enough of that. Birds struggled the first quarter and a half but got on track from there on. UC has some nice looking athletes. The Christians just got worn down by the heat and Birds depth. When HHS can run out fresh wr's every play and run the db's to death it definitely takes a toll..Houliston looked really good today and I only expect him to get better the more he plays. Drew surprised me how accurate he was. I was definitely nervous for this game not really knowing what UC had with the new transfers.. Great job Birds!!
