Who else was disappointed in University Christian (FL)?

Featured Replies

That is the defending state champs from Florida?

That is the #1 ranked 2A team in Florida?

They have that many players playing both ways?

They are that out of shape?

They had that much trouble getting their plays in?

That is their passing game?

It is a shame too, University Christian has talent, before they ran out of gas sometime in the 2nd quarter they pretty much owned the Birds but then the Birds two platoon system, far superior coaching, balanced attack, and much better conditioned players embarrassed UC.

I was very disappointed in University Christian (FL). Who else was disappointed with them?

10 points in the first quarter and a half equates to "Owning the Bluebirds"???? If so, then they would have "Owned" most of Kentucky.

UC had some very good athletes. I think it's hard to put in an offseason conditioning program when they're getting 10-20 transfers each year on a 40 man roster.

Absolutely, they would have owned most of KY until they got tired. And yes UC pretty much dominated early.

As I said in another thread. This is the team NCC was going to play. Coach eviston felt very confident that NCC could play or even beat this team, even with replacing as many players as NCC had to this season. This game ended as most of us expected. I'm sure Florida has its fair share of bad programs.

Are you calling the defending state champs that were ranked number 1 in Florida a bad program?

I agree that UC and NCC would have been a much better game.

I'm guessing people were expecting more due to the fact the HHS faithful were doing their best to hype this team as a quality opponent for HHS. Makes them look better if everyone else believed they were. IDE find it hard for any team to beat HHS with a sophomore QB making his first start a million miles from home lol.

Actually several people pretty much predicted a blowout. The team in Fla wasn't as good as some thought they would be and people close to that program also didn't think they were near as good as they were last year.

In fairness to anyone hyping UC, defending state champs and number one in their class means the hype was warranted.

But that is the problem, too many people go off of other years when talking about how good a team is this year.

So you are calling UC a bad program? Because that is what you quoted???

No, I'm saying they have their share of bad teams like everyone else. I think NCC would have given HHS a better game Saturday. However, due to the heat and hhs's ability to play kids both ways, game ends somewhere around 35-21 HHS. HHS getting a late score to win by 2 tds.

As good as Ohio football is, they have plenty if teams that stink. Look at the beechwood Goshen score lol.

Not saying they are a bad program at all. Never said that. What I said is many people thought they weren't as good as being touted. It isn't the same team they had last year.

I hope it isn't the same type of team or Florida football has the wool pulled over everyone's eyes.

Are you okay?

Just disappointed that it was not a more competitive game. Whether that is because the Birds were that much more superior or UC just not very good...really does not matter at this point.
