Does anyone have any deets on University Christian that are substantiated fact and not rumor or innuendo so that folks can get a better idea of what lies ahead in the coming weeks? What about enrollment? Are they the equivalent to Highlands? Maybe these facts will offer perspective and quell the voice of the naysayers.

No one knows how this game will play out but one thing's for certain, it appears to be a lose-lose in the eyes of Bird haters. I think Sweep hit the nail because regardless of your feeling's towards the Highlands Bluebirds, you must look past the benefit to the team and look at the benefits to the Commonwealth for getting games like these.

Maybe, but do you think University knows what they're getting into? Or do they care? They may looking at it as a vacation since the state itself has voted them least likely to repeat as State champ. Whatever their mindset, look for the Birds to make a statement. After a blowout win on national t.v. Dale may have wanted to mention another 09' national champ goal in that Walter interview.

Maybe this will lead to some of the bigger schools in Florida showing interest in playing Kentucky schools. On the flip side, it could just as easily have the reverse effect. I enjoy intrastate games because so much public perception rides on them.....

Many think the Universtiy Christian/ Highlands game will be sparsely attended. Personally, I see two general representations of the best that both States have to offer in regards to high school football and I think it will be the biggest game of the year. If the Birds win, will it give the Commonwealth street credibility in the eyes of our fellow Floridians? And if by chance the Birds lose, how will this reflect on Kentucky football as a whole. Keep in mind, Highlands represents the best that Kentucky has to offer and a beating at the hands of a 2A Florida school could be a blow to Kentucky's national perception as a quality high school football state.

Keep in mind we were hyping up last year's team just as much and we had our tails between our legs through halftime of week 1.

All I can say is I am looking forward to week 1.

Clyde, let's just say that I think you'll be eating your previous statement about it being a low attended game. This game will probably be the most attended game of the year for Highlands. It's certainly one of the most anticipated. There are quite a few folks, including myself, who enjoy seeing how the Commonwealth truly stacks up to some of the nation's best football states. And Florida is definitely one of the best.

It was certainly worth a try.

Only a fool would attempt to predict a score in this game. We haven't seen the Birds this year. Talk is cheap.

Would you be shocked if UC was slated to repeat as 2A champs in Florida? Probably not. I suspect that even an average 2A squad in the great state of Florida would be ranked near the top in the Commonwealth. I'm thinking this game will be quite entertaining myself.

I'm glad to see any Ky team getting props. Hopefully the Purples don't disappoint. I guess the pressure is on in Week 1.

I could care less who shows up to watch. I'll be there hootin' n' hollerin' like always.

This season they're ranked 152 in state. They've apparently got a tremendous Guard by the name of Josh Allen. Other than that, they've recently been polled as one of the least likely teams to repeat as 2A champs in the State of Florida.

According to CalPreps, Bowling Green is the preseason best in state and ranked #24 nationally.

How can anyone predict the outcome of this game? We have nothing to compare the two squads to.......The Birds will either wax or be waxed which is what makes this game a must see.

In addition to my significant financial patronage, I would be willing to offer my physical attributes as needed in order to ensure the Birds enter the season unhindered.......and still undefeated.

Is the game televised....if so, prob reason for change.
