  1. You must've had money on this one, Ryche......jk In all seriousness, I agree with you. It was the greatest grab I've ever witnessed in high school football next to AC's catch in '08.
  2. BTW, why is it that in high school a pass interference call is 15yds and not marked at the spot of the foul? Seems like this rule can be used to an advantage when playing deep ball proficient passing squads.
  3. So, can we get a definitive answer on whether the kid caught the ball last night or trapped it? Right now it's 2 that he caught it and 1 emphatic No.
  4. Sweep, What were Ramsey's numbers passing? How many times was he sacked? He could have baked a cake back there. I'm not knocking the defense just telling you what I saw. He threw like a sophomore but the Bluebird DB's made him look like Peyton Manning. Not trying to offend, just is what it is. Birds will still run through 4A without question. I think the Bluebird offense is of Moeller's caliber but the Moe defense is why they won by 21. Highlands D just could not stop them. They left it all on the field last night and gave it their best. Good bunch of kids for sure.
  5. The two offenses were good. Elder gets the edge b/c they had 3 effective options to Highlands 2 and it manifested itself during the game. Ramsey had all day to throw last night...........and he did
  6. Sure would've been nice to see Houliston in during the last possession with a minute remaining......
  7. Anyone else think that after the first completed bomb, Ramsey told them it would be better to take a 15yd pass interference call as opposed to a 60yd bluebird gain? Sure looked like it to me.
  8. Make that 3 out of last 4 meetings a GCL squad has knocked the Bluebird qb out of the game.
  9. Elder won the game. Why? Ramsey vs. Bluebird DB's was better than Houliston vs. DB's. Highlands found themselves in a lot of 3rd/4th and long situations compared to Elder who appeared to move effortlessly down the field on the shoulders of Ramsey. Obviously the fumble was the difference and the fact that the Bluebirds looked like a deer caught in the headlights during the 1st qtr. Feggins: offensive player of the game. Wrobleski: defensive player of the game.
  10. Hey Bigbird, can you warm my seats for me before I arrive tonight? I'd appreciate it.
  11. All I know is last year Donovan got the Mr. Tough Guy award after the Elder game. They abused that kid and he just kept goin' and goin' and goin' and goin'. Elder just doesn't hit like Harrison Co.
  12. It's not often, but this post was pretty funny.
  13. 2 out of the last 3 meetings with GCL teams, the Bluebird qb came out injured.
  14. It appears that there is alot of emotion involved in many of these predictions. Elder fans see it 60/30 and Bluebird fans see it 30/60. Practical fans see it as THEE must see game of the year. The Pit factor may be what tips the scale.
  15. Yes, I see Ramsey having a big night running the ball as well as passing. Birds always seem to play off the ball and the Panthers throw a lot of slants and screens for easy 5's. Schroer is good for several yards a carry as well even if banged up. When I saw Holmes getting to Houliston last Friday, I thought, "oh no".
  16. Better keep that on the down low. If that info hits Yappi it's all over for the Chili Co. Friday night after the Birds paste the Panthers.
