  1. It's a scrimmage. If they played now, I think the Birds would have them for dinner.:thumb:
  2. I heard ABC is driving so you might be able to hitch a ride with him. Lord help you if he pulls out a map. As for the free bus........it fell on deaf ears. It was worth a try.:thumb:
  3. Oh, I forgot Namerobdigity, Ram, Bugatti, and my personal favorite now, PurplePride92.
  4. I'd love to be on a bus this weekend with my friends Birdsfan, Henry, Thunderbirds, Tdyballgame, Sweeperboy, Raiderbird, StinkyboyII, Big Bird, Bird bath, Bird brains, BGBird, Guru, UKfan, Ryche, John Anthony, FTTS, 75 Center, Guru, Leatherneck, Voice of Reason, The Old Guy, Clyde, Cardinals Fan, Auxier River Rat, Bird Daddy, RCC9, and JBWill. Now that's one trip for the ages. Go Birds.
  5. One final running clock, IMO. Question is would that be a record to record running clocks in the semifinal game as well as the state title game?
  6. If Hghlands was going down to play the best in the state, the place would be packed.
  7. No you're not, RCC. You mean it. I would find a way to go too.:ylsuper:
  8. Not sure why some are wondering why Highlands fans won't make the drive several hours when many teams that Highlands has played this year had fans you could count on one hand. Many didn't even attend games in their own back yard.
  9. Look, you've got three groups of folks that go to Highlands games; the alumni contingent, the parents of the players, and everyone else. The everyone else group enjoys watching good football on Friday nights in their community but when you ask them to drive to Bowling Green, they look at you like you have two heads. I know, I've asked several peeps that usually go to the games with me and they all bail out when it comes to the drive and their excuse is always the same.
  10. It's not a lack of enthusiasm. I'm just saying it's tough to drive several hours to watch a potential running clock in the second quarter. They shouldn't even have a running clock rule for a State Title game in the first place.
  11. The last time the Birds had a close State Title game was during the first three qtrs. of the 2008 game against Christian Co. After that, it's been blowout city. I think if a competitive game was expected, many more would travel, but everyone knows Highlands is going to roll Collins. It's tough to blow a full Saturday at Christmas time for something I can watch at home later. This may sound ridiculous to some, but many others feel the same way. It's called time management. Wish Highlands the best.
  12. One thing's for sure, if they eliminated the ability to view the game on t.v./computer, they'd make a lot of folks decisions a much tougher one.
  13. Joking of coarse, but I am making a point. The Bowling Green location excludes a lot of folks.
  14. Many aren't making the trip b/c it's too far of a trip to see a game that could very well end up being a running clock. If it was their first trip to the dance, I'd say yes, but 7 in a row with a noncompetitive game expected leads me to think that if the Birds want a huge fan presence, they had better put forth some party favors......Is a free bus ride too much to ask?:scared:
  15. Give Highlands the trophy. I just saw where Collins lost to Simon Kenton in a squeaker.
  16. If what you say is true, Lucas had better start throwing from the get go and hope to make it a track meet. That is their only chance. Running will simply not cut it. I'd throw on 4 downs everytime.
