  1. Gametime, if we were able to gain access to the games, would we need a converter box like Boone and Kenton in Campbell Co.?
  2. Do you have a number by chance? I would encourage everyone to call so that we Campbell Countians can enjoy the games like the rest of Northern Kentucky. Thanks Gamer....
  3. Will the folks in Campbell County get to enjoy this line up of games or are these exclusive of Kenton and Boone counties?
  4. I thought the kids have represented well in past years, but if you say so....As for the others, I have to disagree. It is not often that you get to see two of the top 5 teams in the state play in your backyard. You're going to see alot of interest in the outcome of this game. You can bet that Ryle, Cov. Cath and others will be keeping an eye on this one.... This game will be a hot post game topic across the commonwealth forums as well.
  5. Most Bluebird fans are extremely excited about this year's team and are looking forward to seeing it all come together next week. With that said, I believe that the stadium will be filled to capacity. There is alot of talk about whether or not this team is for real. I believe the stands won't just be filled with Bluebird fans. There will be alot of other communities represented as well just to see what the 2010 package looks like.
  6. 1 yes, without a doubt. JC has revenge on their minds. Boyle humiliated them last year.
  7. I think you're right. If anyone thinks that these kids are going to go any less than 100%, they're sadly mistaken. The Bluebirds want to send a message that this team is the real deal and Trinity wants to give Highlands some good ole' fashioned pie in the face. To quote you, It will be a war. Nothing less.
  8. Two weeks and counting until the showdown in Ft. Thomas and it seems that, after reading some ot the posts on both sides, that there is a nervous energy of anticipation between these two squads. Are these two teams worthy of the title "rivalry"? What's at stake? Considering that this is only a scrimmage, I get the feeling that both are taking this game as much more than a tune up for the upcoming season. Something tells me that we're in for another memorable night in Ft. Thomas, Ky.....
  9. I'm pretty certain it will be standing room only....
  10. It's the post season poll that matters. Articles like these are just fillers.
  11. My wife deleted the game at our house. She said it was a mistake, but I guess she was tired of seeing her husband scream and yell just about every week while watching Bardo take off down the sidelines. The most electric moment in that game IMO. A fighter jet could've done a fly over and we still wouldn't have heard it after that play.....
  12. Don Weber and NKY high school football is analogous to Harry and the Cubs! He'll be missed......
  13. The only thing similar between those two games were the fumbles by Connor and Collinsworth. Apart from that, they couldn't be further apart. I've never been to a game that had more electricity than that awesome night.
  14. Yes, I particularly remember a flat Bluebird team almost getting laid out by Bryan Station.
  15. No more Don Weber? No countdown to kickoff? No post game show? I'm checking into rehab. Friday night's won't be the same. If this is true, NKY just lost a local icon IMO.
  16. You miss the point. In my facetious attempt to expose a very suspect rating system, I obviously ruffled a few of your blue feathers. Bottom line: Johnson Central is not the 32nd best team in the state of Ky.
  17. No, IMO the Bluebirds need to lose one or two in order to get fired up for the latter half of the season that will mostly be spent away from home. If they're not mentally prepared by then, it could be a long drive home from Golden Eagle territory....
  18. It's hard not to laugh at some of these Ky. state preseason polls when you see a team like Johnson Central, arguably the Birds' toughest game in their quest for a 4th straight title, ranked #32 in the state and #8 in their division. I watched this team play Highlands last year. They return alot of high quality players and gave the Brids their toughest challenge defensively. Highlands at #2 is either overrated or JC is extemely underrated. Whatever the case, it's shaping up to be a very competitive year of football with no gimmies for the Highlands Bluebirds.....
  19. Hurting the gate? please. $5 is hardly going to hurt most folks wallets, especially when it comes to watching a superb high school football team like Highlands. I myself enjoy watching and then having the opportunity, at my leisure, to review the games at a later time. It's frustrating when the majority of ICN games are with Kenton Co. teams. The schedule needs more balance between the counties. Out of the 22 teams slated for television this season, only 2 are from Campbell County. That's pathetic IMO.
  20. Last year we had one of the best teams in NKY history play and win a state championship as well as end up nationally ranked in the top 3 yet still seemed to be shunned by the local cable network ICN6. The Highlands Bluebirds were not featured in any of the games of the week. Does anyone have any info on this year's criteria for making the cut? Now that Highlands has seemingly come back down to earth this year, maybe they'll start featuring them again. Let me guess, hmm, probably the Ryle game simply b/c the consensus is a potential defeat for the Birds.....
