  1. I'd try to get the ball to Brown once every set of downs. Don't understand why they don't use him more.
  2. If I were his parents, even if it were a mild concussion, I'd want him sitting out a week. It's still a concussion. If he takes some hard hits tonight, it could be very dangerous.
  3. Must you reply to every post with a comment about how great Simon Kenton is? What does this have to do with the Boone/Conner game? It's so annoying.
  4. According to Dr. Phil the definintion of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Guess the Boone coaches would be considered insane by Dr. Phil's standards. : )
  5. They don't look like the same team at all, especially defensively. They can't stop the pass, and all the teams Boone has played have good passing games. Their offensive is struggling too. Bad field position, no passing game, no blocking. It's sad.
  6. I heard the same, that would be a shame. Hope he is okay.
  7. I think Campbell County is getting better each week, no one should be overlooking them.
  8. They need a whole new offensive philosophy, but not sure whether this will occur under Thompson or not.
  9. Must win game for Boone. I think they will bounce back from last week's loss and win at home.
  10. I know the JV quarterback is supposed to be good but not sure if at this point in time he'd do any better than Thompson. He looked okay at the JV game on Saturday, not outstanding in my opinion. The game is won and lost on the line, our offensive line has to pass block and run block and we can win.
  11. Boone County beat them badly in the regular season 2 years ago.
  12. Well they threw to the tight end last night and he fumbled. You can't blame all these losses on one kid. The QB has to make plays, but so do the recievers. They have to get open, catch the ball and hold on to it.
  13. Well it didn't hurt them last night, Cooper almost beat Ryle.
  14. There were 2 dropped passes that would've been TD's, not the QBs fault. Plus he gets very little time to throw the ball. That's the lines fault, not his. On the defensive side, Boone could not defend the pass. Campbell QB had all day to pass the ball. It's hard for Boone's DBs to defend their guys for all that time, eventually they get open. Boone was missing 2 good starters on defense, that didn't help.
  15. Can't recall the coach but my dad quotes one who said there's three things that can happen when you pass the ball, and 2 of them are bad.
  16. I don't see this happening in a million years. Maybe if Boone were the only high school in the district and the whole community and school board were against the guy, but I think in this case the administration and school board has a checklist and if they have a coach in each position, then they can check that off the list and move on. Unless parents go to the admin. and school board and complain, his job is safe. And it would take years of complaints for them to remove a coach unless he was abusive or unprofessional. Being a bad coach wouldn't do it.
  17. I was at Boone last night right by the tennis courts and I did not hear any foul language by that group of kids in the tennis courts. Maybe I left before it started. I'm glad they stopped when asked, but please don't assume that we adults heard and stood by and did nothing, because that's not the case.
  18. 94 Camel, you're a genius, why didn't we think of that? I wonder how many Gold Cards and candy bars we would need to sell to pay for that turf?
  19. Maybe Highlands will be so confused by what type of field they're playing on they won't know what to do.
  20. Boone held Anderson to 7 points until middle of 2nd quarter, then they had 3 quick scores. Boone's defense was on the field the entire game. Offense couldn't get much going. Came close to scoring once in first half but QB threw an interception which led to an Anderson score.
  21. Do you think its hard for Highlands to get motivated for these games where they just play their starters for the first half then put in the JV? And it can't be much fun for the starters either.
  22. This is from Lexington Herald Leader website: Boone County 17, Scott County 6: The host Cardinals found the red zone three times but couldn’t find the end zone any of those times and fell to 0-2. Bryson Thompson’s 1-yard scoring run in the second quarter and Mauricio Moreno’s extra point put the Rebels up for good. Moreno also had a 32-yard field goal to end the half. Drew Stuck, who scored on a 10-yard run, had 119 yards on the ground. He also caught two passes for 65 yards. Scott County had 196 rushing yards on the ground, but managed only 11 passing yards.
