  1. A lot of high school kids work part time jobs, mostly on the weekends. The games are expensive for high school kids, plus many of them don't have transportation there. I saw a lot of students there, but they were spread out. As a matter of fact, at the beginning of the girls' game there were a bunch of students sitting together at one end, and they had to move.
  2. I am sure a lot of the parents would be interested too! I talked to one the other day who hadn't heard a word about it.
  3. Isn't Borchers the athletic director at Cooper also?
  4. >>>>He has many young men the past 9 years that he interacts with daily that have never complained to him about the program. Parents are important but I would imagine the ones that are disgruntled are the ones that are not allowed to dictate policy Most players don't complain to their coach about issues, but they do complain to each other and their parents. If the coach asks a player how things are, typically the kid will answer in a postive way. No one wants to get on the bad side of the head coach. And you're wrong about the disgruntled parents. It's parents who are concerned about things in the program that they have a right to be concerned about. After all, they are the parents of the boys. Their safety and well being should be their concern and if there are problems, they should be addressed. Having a winning program does not exempt a coach from everything. Jeesh, does Penn State ring a bell??? Not saying this is going on at Ryle, just saying that winning doesn't excuse everything.
  5. I personally know parents from the team. There have been complaints brought up to the AD and it was not about playing time for Junior.
  6. I agree, it's not "hating." It's simply hearing about and witnessing behaviors through the years of him playing that cause people to think he doesn't have to pay consequences for his behaviors. It's been like this for years. Good luck to him, but I still personally have concerns that he will continue to make bad choices for himself.
  7. I heard one of the assistants at Ryle just quit due to unhappiness with the treatment of the players by some of the other coaches.
  8. I think he was given this year to improve and he did, so I predict he will be back.
  9. I don't know why the Dixie admin doesn't stand up to them other than their "stature" in the community. And yes, there is another Pike son coming up.
  10. I heard thru grapevine the players are fed up with one certain player on the team. It is a player who "gets touches" and it wouldn't surprise me if he was complaining about it.
  11. I know Ryle scored once but don't have score update.
  12. Discipline issue. Something about throwing things out the bus windows after a scrimmage game.
  13. I was driving past Boone today and got a glimpse of their sign. I think it said Oppenheimer will be playing at Georgetown. Can anyone confirm?
  14. He is bed-ridden for a couple of weeks. Probably won't be playing college ball. It's a shame, he is a great kid.
  15. Ryle scores, goes for 2 but doesn't get it. 21-9 Trinity.
  16. Long run for Elliot, Ryle on 12 yard line.
  17. Ryle had it 1st and 10 on the 20 but Hemple threw an interception. Trinity ball.
