They were scheduled to be there this week to officially present Zeke Pike with an invitation to play in the all-start game.

It has been postponed.

No word on a new date.

Hmmm...wonder if "postponed" = "cancelled" because...well, I think there is a rule against saying what I was going to say. :sssh: :notworthy:

Spokesperson for the game says Zeke is still on the roster.

WOW!

Story.

"For now..."

An AU site says they talked to Zeke and he told them he is playing.

The US Army committee will be at Dixie on Wed. December 7th to present Zeke with his US Army ALL AMERICAN jersey! Congrats Zeke! Prove all the haters wrong!

It's not haters. It's people that feel there are consequences for one's actions. You must be one who thinks everyone should get a trophy just for showing up.

Don't think anyone said anything that could be thought of as "hating", but everyone has heard a story or 2 of what happened (and in 1 case again) so speculation is the obvious. If he plays in the game I give him a HUGE congrats and I hope he performs well. I'm sure everyone would like to see NKY represented and represented well!!!

I agree, it's not "hating." It's simply hearing about and witnessing behaviors through the years of him playing that cause people to think he doesn't have to pay consequences for his behaviors. It's been like this for years. Good luck to him, but I still personally have concerns that he will continue to make bad choices for himself.

Wow, that'll be awkward. Will his now-retired coach be there? Just seems like it would be a very weird atmosphere to me, after all that has happened.
