Do you think its hard for Highlands to get motivated for these games where they just play their starters for the first half then put in the JV? And it can't be much fun for the starters either.

Do opposing team bands get on the field at half? I don't believe I've ever been to a game where the visiting team brings a band.

 

They sure were fun to watch last year though.

Withrow lost to Winton Woods and Sycamore, two pretty good football teams. I look for this to be a close game, with Highlands being a slight favor.

I know that it is unwise to compare scores, but I've never been accused of being wise. WW crushed Withrow. Elder crushed Winton Woods. Colerain crushed Elder. I'd think that Highlands is somewhere b/n Colerain and Elder this year, so just by this, Highlands should be more than a slight favorite. I'd say H by 35...if they want to. They may call off the dogs.

The boys have dedicated their teenage years to become the best football players they can possibly be. They work hard and make sacrifices eleven months out of the year doing whatever is asked of them. They deserve to have competition placed in front of them that will provide a true test of their abilities. I don't see any games on the regular season schedule that will provide that competition. If it requires hopping on a bus and travelling three hours up the road to find a ballgame, then lets load em up. Friday night will turn into a running clock situation very quickly if Coach wants it to be.
