No offense to Campbell but limping by the Camels doesn't cut it. Ryle is going back-wards this year. Does anyone understand what is going on in Union?

Clearly this isn't the same Ryle team who was marching into the locker room at halftime against Highlands, not sure what's going on but will ask around.

As I asked in another thread, who exactly was calling the plays on O tonight? Who exactly was calling the plays on D tonight? Everyone in Union can see and feel the coaching tension - no one better than the players themselves. It's standard business practice, as well as a great life lesson, for a good leader to surround himself with competent, knowledgeable people, and allow those people to do their jobs. Enough said.

I don't think Ryle was ever on top of the hill. I wasn't impressed with them when they scrimmaged Dixie.

Ryle looked pretty good against a mediocre Highlands team and my thinking is they are on a downhill slide since that game.

 

I do believe Ryle has several injuries which no doubt are a factor.

If Elliott is out next week - and at this point you have to assume he is - it certainly changes the outlook on this game a bit. You are talking about a player that probably has accounted for over 2/3 of Ryle's total offense and is not easily replaced. Mullins is a very good back himself, but he's not Elliott. You are also now left with having to replace the FB position that Mullins will be vacating, plus you probably can't play Mullins both ways as he did tonight. He played outside LB tonight and did a nice job. Add in that the passing game just simply hasn't existed all year and Ryle has some work cut out for them. They are going to need a big-time performance out of their defense next week. Tonight's performance against Campbell won't do it against SK. It'll be a fun game and should be a huge crowd.
