They show one Northern Kentucky game per year. Don't worry they are more interested in Glen Este and teams like that.

I think Campbell County played a great game and outplayed Ryle and deserved to win the game. Special teams killed the Camels. Their passing game found holes in the Ryle defense all night long. A couple of interceptions hurt Campbell too.

 

The spread offense is fun to watch, but the Camels do need to develop the threat of a running game.

 

As for Ryle-stop Elliott and you beat the Raiders. If he is out next week, they will not beat SK. Don't know about all of the Ryle injuries, but they are easy pickens for a quality thrower like Towles of Highlands. Honestly the QB for Ryle left me wanting for something. Wasn't all that accurate against Campbell County. I thought people said he was a d-1 recruit?

If Elliott is out next week - and at this point you have to assume he is - it certainly changes the outlook on this game a bit. You are talking about a player that probably has accounted for over 2/3 of Ryle's total offense and is not easily replaced. Mullins is a very good back himself, but he's not Elliott. You are also now left with having to replace the FB position that Mullins will be vacating, plus you probably can't play Mullins both ways as he did tonight. He played outside LB tonight and did a nice job. Add in that the passing game just simply hasn't existed all year and Ryle has some work cut out for them. They are going to need a big-time performance out of their defense next week. Tonight's performance against Campbell won't do it against SK. It'll be a fun game and should be a huge crowd.

 

What is wrong with Elliott?

I can see throwing in an off game last week but struggling again this week makes me wonder what is going on out there. I agree without Elliot SK wins next week.

He was returning an interception and got drilled by one of CCHS's wideouts that he didn't see. I'd say a concussion at the very least but I don't know for sure.

Campbell county continues to improve and probably wins this game without the kickoff coverage break downs. Ryle is not the same team I saw play against Cov Cath and HHS early in the season and at this point it appears that they can ill afford to lose Elliot for any length of time. How did this Campbell County team get drubbed by Cov Cath?

Hempfel certainly was outplayed at the QB position last nigth, at least when talking about throwing the ball.

Needless overstatement. There is nothing terrible "going on in Union." They are not playing up to their potential, but they are still 4-1 and still undefeated in district play. It is a very high quality program. Not perfect by any means, but hardly riddled with the serious issues that you imply. Even without Elliott, they have a good shot at beating SK. Certainly a much better chance with him, but Mullins would start at RB at 80% of the school in NKY, maybe more.

Did Ryle lose some games I didnt hear about? Granted they seem to play down to their competition some what but wins are wins and they are getting the job done. Some might say that it is good to win some close hard fought games now instead of rolling over everyone. I would give them the respect the deserve until they start to actully lose games. Look past Ryle at your own risk. 5-1 with the only defeat being to Highlands. Yeah, they are in trouble. DUH! Lets just wait and see what happens next week. I think SK has a great chance to win a close game but it really could go either way. SK 24 Ryle 21 is my guess but Ryle is a good team and I dont think things are as bad as some of the Ryle and Union people seem to think.

If I was Ryle's head coach I would not play Mullens at full back. I would put him at receiver and send him in motion for some hand offs. I guess the spread offense is to much for Ryle's coaching staff when all you know is run right run left.
