  1. I agree with most of this. Eli is far from their problems. The o-line is awful, and the defense is awful, OBJ is very talented but he does not contest anything. The really great ones like AJ, Hopkins, Julio all help their QB's at times. There were two passes Thursday night that were 50/50 and he did not come down with either. He has to make some of those and he doesn't. However, I agree he is not the prooblem either. As stated, the o-line and defense are. Barkley is awesome, he was the right pick for them at #2. No question, although I read some saying they should have taken Darnell, no way, Saquan was an excellent pick. They will never regret it unless he gets hurt.
  2. On this, you are partially correct. I thought he looked a step or two slow on Sunday. That was elected. He got about 60% of teh snaps. He will get more this weekend. I am not worried about him physically, keeping his head is always a worry.
  3. You are remembering correctly. State finalist a few years back. My sons played there in the early 00's. I wouldn't have called tehm a power then, but they were good. Not sure what has happened.
  4. That had me, I gotta' admit. Very clever. I was thinking all through, what the heck, is this a con man. Well, maybe he was. The alias is priceless.
  5. Katherine Terrell on Twitter said it might be a lot worse than we think (paraphrasing), but they haven't put him on IR, so they must think he will be back. I have a feeling we will know more definitively in two weeks. Nothing specific, but reading all the scribes, I have a feeling he may not be back this year. This is a hunch on my part only.
  6. Counting 2 playoff games, you read it correctly. The Steelers have won the last 15 of 17 at PBS. I maybe did not make it being the Steelers clear.
  7. Never have discussions with someone you fire, never. Just fire them, if they say they will sue, whatever, just say nothing and walk away, let them get out of the room. or let them vent and leave. In almost every case, I was involved the person just got up and left without saying anything. The person is either devastated, angry, shocked or any combination of these. Nothing the person says that fired them will help at all. He should have just walked away, as he was doing, and say nothing.
  8. Even more incredible is the Bengals have lost 15 of the last 17 at PBS. They own the Bengals at PBS.
  9. Everything points to this game being in the 30's. Both defenses played much better yesterday. However, I think both still have some issues. The Dolphns are not an offensive juggernaut and teh Falcons seem to have just not recovered from a bunch of close losses. Tomlin already played games after his game in his press conference blasting officials when they won by 20+. Just trying to get an advantage. And my guess is everyone, the Bengals and maybe the officials, will fall for it; especially the Bengals. Bengals win if they protect AD and Ben has a coule of picks. Steelers win if they run the ball effectively.
  10. He was ok. He threw a bad pick early. He ran for his life most of the 1st three quarters, but made a couple of gutsy throws to keep drives alive and a TD. He never got rattled, though.
  11. This was ugly, ugly, ugly. But it was a win. Needed this one because next week we likely lose. Defense won this one, plain and simple. The offense just never seemed to get untracked. They miss Ross more than Eifert. Having someone that can stretch the field besides AJ is badly needed for this offense to click. AD was just ok. He is a gamer this year, though. He seems like he knows they will win and has brought the gunslinger attitude. The special teams were atrocious. They will cause a loss if this continues. It is difficult to overcome a very makable FG that was blocked and givng up a punt return. Just cannot happen. On to Steelers week, I hate Steelers week.
  12. This is a very good Kentucky team that played on the road against a team equal or a little better than them. The recipe is out now on how to stay with the Cats, contain Snell if you can by stacking the box. and dare Wilson to throw mid-range to deep passes. This is the first team that was faster than the Cats. It looked like Wilson could easily get a first down and the Aggies closed really fast. As the game was progressing, one thing that I believe being overlooked is the Aggies put the ball on the ground a lot and the Cats only made them pay once. Teams that win on the road against their equal have to get those balls on the ground. The outcome was pretty much as I expected. great RB, very good defense, and an average to below average QB gets this team to 10-2 or 9-3.
  13. Waze gets me around it every time. Trust it.
  14. Tannehill was so bad last week, it is hard to believe he will be that bad again. The Bengals offense should put up 25-28 points to win this one. Miami is not the type of team that wants to get into a shootout. But you never know in the NFL.
  15. Kill the darn thing, pull out the TP he was on and finish the task.
  16. Why would this be a surprise? They are basically unpredictable and almost all unforeseen. I am not surprised either way.
  17. Why would someone need to do this? There are way better ways to get their attention. #1 being take a seat and watch a while. Always worked for me. Just because it was common practice forty years ago doesn't make it right. I see no reason to put your hands on someone unless it is self defense. This clearly wasn't that.
