Bengal Maniac

I felt the Bengals needed to win of one of the two in Carolina or Atlanta and thought this would be the best chance. The Bengals defense did not play well until the 4th quarter and then gave the offense chances. With AJ out, the Panthers finally doubled Boyd and that was it. AD had no one to rely on other than the TE's. Ross really hurt us on a couple of the picks. One was in coverage he didn't contest. Wasn't a great pass but he had a chance. The other one he obviously quit on the route and gave up an easy pick. AD was really tryng and is making throws I have never seen him make. There were 2-3 in really tight windows where he put the ball in the only place it could be and it was on the money. In conclusion, you can't have 3 turnovers (I know there were 4, but the Hail Mary had no significance on the outcome) and let a running back run for 150+ yards and expect to win, especially on the road. It they win next week, the Bengals will be in really good shape, lose and it is that going either way thing. It is not good that Atlanta lost the way they did today. Atlanta does not have nearly as good a defense as the Panthers, but they have a great offense, much better than the Panthers that put up 31 today.

Tough to overcome three turnovers on the road. You just won't win many games. Hope a miracle happens here, but looking like a loss.

The defense has to show up. They haven't thus far.

AD makes a great throw running to his left. He definitely has kicked it up a notch thus far this year.

Nickerson is getting schooled

Panthers are exposing our linebackers. Two starters out, they have figured it out it seems. The Panthers are running the ball well enough to keep the LB's off balance and out of their gaps. The offense is playing pretty well but the Bengals are not a shootout team.

This team looks like the real deal. Could be on par with '77 eventually. My only concern is can they win if they have to throw the ball? If they are close or ahead in the 4th quarter, they have shown they can wear teams down and just pound it, plus not make that bonehead turnover, penalty or awful play.

The Cats have manhandled Florida and Mississppi State. You win line play, you win lots of games.

They are young. Going to take some losses like this. They will be much better in the next few years. Scott is just a much better team right now. No answer for tehir speed.

Last evening the Browns needed Mayfield. The team just seemed to respond better to him last night. Taylor was way off and just not very good. With that being said Taylor played very well in the first two games and made a big time clutch throw near the end of both games. One to Gordon against the Steelers and Callaway against the Saints. He is not the reason they lost either game. Make game winning field goals it's a different story. To me it has nothing to do with liking Mayfield or not. He's just another QB to me and he's with the Browns, so I really hope he doesn't play well enough for them to win most games. I do find it amusing, maybe only to me, that basically 1/2 of one game, future judgments are made. It was what it was, a very impressive first half for the rook and an awful first half for Taylor, nothing more should really be read into it than that for me.

Exactly, I said more than once as a principal, I am not punishing a kid for what their parents do or refuse to do.

Eagles

I believe he is. I don't think he is as competitive mentally, but no one extends plays like him and only Rodgers throws on the run as well. He makes big throws at big times. I have never seen a better throw than the one to Holmes in the Super Bowl.

He is definitely elite #3 or 4 in the NFL right now. Brady, Rodgers, Ben/Brees

Well, the Bengals have had their circus more than once. This is interesting because on the outside looking in, Big Ben is a head case and always has been. However, he is an elite QB and been top 3-5 in the league for many years. I am not sure Big Ben made AB. AB is elite also, but you cannot deny that Big Ben's unbelievable ability to extend plays and make throws while extending them has helped AB a lot. You add Big Ben's gifts with AB's elusiveness and speed then you get what they have in the best QB/WR combo in the NFL. Elite QB's > Elite WR's every time. But AB is correct. He would demand huge huge $$ in FA and as a trade several top picks, however, the Steelers ain't doing that. I still believe if they get the defense fixed, they win the division.

Jags looked really really solid. I will believe the Pats are not the class of the AFC when I see it come January. I ain't buying it. As long as TB is there they will be there.

Play until you are done, simple as that. Each team gets the ball at least onece.

18 missed kicks in 14 games this week already. I didn't see bad weather anywhere. Hard to believe.

The Steelers defense was just horrible today. Tough to get down 21-0 and win. Just doesn't happen often.
