Is Cooper for real? I took the Cov Cath win to be an anomaly. I did see Coach Sully with Sean McNeal in tow at our Bellarmine game against McKendree Saturday.

One thing we can all agree on is I hope the ultimate loser is that terrible disease that has taken so many good people from us, Cancer! 100% of us working together will hopefully find a cure soon.

You guys have convinced me that may not be certain. But one game this early will probably not be the ultimate determining factor. Although the wrong outcome may have an impact on the local unemployment rate......

I think RP made the right call not to alter anything quite yet. Brossart has performed very well thus far but so have multiple other teams in the rankings so it's premature to make drastic changes. Always arguable of course.

Parity is the watch word for the early part of the season. No consistently dominate team at this point. It'll be interesting to see how the field separates itself by February. Tomorrow night's Moco vs' Paris game will start the process.....

Coaching strategy and player execution will determine the outcome of this one. Whoever comes to play will get this "W".

I'm glad we were able to catch this one on the way back from the Bellarmine game. It was very tough and physical down low but our smaller kids held their own aginst superior size. Wilson earned every basket he got tonight. Heygi stepped up down the stretch and made some nice baskets in tge final minutes. Augusta uncharacteristically missed a few FT in the last 3 minutes and that was probably the difference in the game. Augusta got big minutes from Jack Laycock & Steve Cordle playing Wilson in the post that won't show up on the stat sheet. I can guarantee you one thing......Augusta getting beat by 3 by the #1 preseason rated team isn't something they'll be satisfied with.....our kids "expect to win".....this will only motivate them to work harder. I keep saying it, but we have 100 kids in HS and for the past 5 years their " family" confidence makes them respectful of their opponents but afraid of no one.

Anxious to see how my Panthers perform this early against a veteran top level team. Whatever happens early for the Panthers, they get better throughout the season as Snapp heals and the younger players without varsity experience gain confidence.

Nice showing for PC with limited personnel. Mr. Allen apparently deserves the defensive attention he's getting. He'll need to keep working hard to battle through it because, trust me, from my experience it only intensifies......

I don't think I'd read too much into this game. Probably good for CovCath in the long run as I'm sure they know they have some things to work out.

Obviously everyone doubts my sincerity about BC since I'm from Augusta and that's a little difficult for me to understand because anyone who knows me knows that I've been around this game for a long time (yes I'm old) and I try to be positive about what I post regardless of who it involves. Clearly, I can't change that so I'll quit trying. I'll focus on making peace between the Israelis and Palestinians. NOW THAT WAS A JOKE GUYS..............

You guys are misinterpreting my intent here........my post up till this one have been genuine but I'll admit this was a little tongue in cheek. I certainly never mean to disparage Austin's abilities in any way nor any player's. He's a tremendous player but I always think it's not productive to compare any player to another; too many variables. I'm telling you, BC is the "real deal" and that's not sarcasm. I realize that it's hard to not interpret it that way since I'm a life long Panther but understand; I'm sincere. As for Hinson, we agreed to disagree about his move to BC but parted amicably as a far as I'm concerned and I don't wish him any ill will. I truly believe he has a talent for getting the most out of what he has to work with. That's the "magic" I mentioned. I've always seen the BC vs' Augusta rivalry as just another game unless it involved winning a tournament. Our goal has always been to win games and be successful in the post season and that road always runs through Mason County in our District.......Good luck to BC, Hinson but especially Austin.....

I think you guys are underestimating the "Hinson Magic". Apparently on LCDAWGS radio show the other day Hinson was asked to compare past players to Austin and he said "Brent Bach was an OK player but Austin Crawford is special". Since he singlehandedly got an OK player 2 District Championships and a Runner Up (1/4 of an inch from being a "three-peat" Championship), multiple 20 win seasons, 10th Region POY, 2nd and 3rd team all-state recognition, a narrow semi-final Regional exit his Senior year, and a Full Scholarship to Bellarmine University: following this logic, I would expect nothing less at Bracken than 2 district champsionships, a Class A State Title, at least 1 regional championship, 2-25 win seasons, at least 1 win at Rupp, and Austin as KY Mr. Basketball (which I think he also mentioned) and finally wearing "Calipari Blue" after next season.

I don't know anything about Western Brown but looks like Mason is as I said, better than expected.

Nice game by Paris. They have tons of talent. If they get it together and keep it together........ Look out

Long season ahead for the Black Devils I'm afraid. They looked young though so maybe the future will look brighter than this season's outlook.
