10th Region All "A"=Bishop Brossart Invitational most years so I wouldn't pick against them. Extremely smart, well coached kids. They don't beat themselves so you better come to play if you face them. They're down in comparison to normal but never out.

With the season quickly approaching, I thought I'd post this little chart I saw the other day for those of us who expect maybe just a little too much from these kids: Here's the real chances of reaching whatever level we believe they can.

Jacob Hamilton or possibly Cooper Engnes. As for the schedule, I'd rate it better than normal but not really all that difficult especially compared to their schedule last year. In my humble opinion, 2016 is the Polar Bears best opportunity for a Region Title. The 10th is severely down this year across the board and parity is the order of the day. If you're going to get Mason, you better get them this year, they just get better over the next several years as does Montgomery and Clark and Bracken loses a lot this year. Also, I wouldn't underestimate the contribution Coach Myles made to this team last year in making them better. He tried to instill the "we win and lose as a team" concept for the first time in many years here. If I'm one of the BC faithful anything short of a 10th Region All "A" championship, a 39th District Championship, and a 20+ win season is sub-par and much less than way short of what should be expected. Anything beyond that is just icing on the cake.

As for Hinson going to Mason, won't happen, he has achieved his lifelong dream in returning to his "Babylon of basketball". I'd say 9th to 11th. We're down for sure overall. That's why there are about 7 or 8 teams that could win this region.

Did they lose kids to transfer? I heard 1 to Paris and 1 to Montgomery. I expected them to be a top 3 region team this year.

A word of advice for anyone who has them on their schedule: 100 years ago when I played my Coach would tell us before every game, "be respectful and be nice to these guys on the court even when you're beating them by 40 because some of you in this room will need a job one day and those guys will be who you'll be working for".

If the school the kid is leaving contest his leaving they can essentially keep the kid from playing nearly indefinitely. The process is very slow anyway and any contention and/or appeals drags out the ruling to or past tournament time. End of Season!

That's correct. I incorrectly thought Jason was his dad.

I don't know whether or not it's final but I know that's the most current info. As you know RP, nothing is done until we see it.
