I can't believe that MOCO pulled the upset....even at home. Bracken is a legit top 3 team in the Region. I had MOCO at 8 or 9 in the Region. I'm sure Bracken will regroup and get back on track quickly.......

In context, Augusta has had exceptional talent and exceptional TEAM/ FAMILY feeling for the last 6 years including my son Brent Bach and this has been the catalyst for their success. I simply am indicating that Hinson is where he has always wanted to be and his love for the program has always been evident; he has reached his pinnacle in terms of coaching situation. That's why he's the 15 ppg there IMO and does not reflect on his worth in prior, less desirable situations.

I made a mistake, Moco's player losses were insignificant. However, Hinson makes a 15 point difference and Bracken's kids progressed further than Moco's. I think Bracken will score 80+ per night and that's tough to beat. As a Panther fan I expect that so I'm sure they expect that and more....and they should.

Last year Moco beat BC at Brooksville by 21 but that's pre-Hinson history. I picked BC by 10 because Moco lost a few kids and Hinson is at BC now.....that's a 31 point turn around.

I hear he's eligible. I've seen him play a little pickup and he has talent. He'll help Augusta this year.

List like these are always argued by nature because as objective as the author tries to be, no one sees every kid play, nor can they compare their attributes consistently. My advice for the kids that made the list congratulations and keep working to stay there........to those that didn't keep working and doing the right things and regardless of list.......you and your team will succeed.

Great early season matchup. I have great respect for both Coaches. If both teams play, it'll be a close one that is a "pickem". It'll be interesting to see how both teams progress this season no matter who wins. Sure bet is given their Coaches, both will be better in February.

Bracken by 10......Lippert is the guy you're all talking about or it could be a combination of their 5 deep bench........

I heard a rumor that Randy Parker was foregoing his Senior year in HS to sign with the Knicks as Player/Coach.

Glad to have him joining our BU family.

Correct Jamison Dudley. He was on the Mason roster listed on Riherd's from last year. I don't know about his status.

I have said this before but I'm glad we're relevant. 100 kids in HS and those kids have made us part of the conversation the past 5 or 6 years.

Very, very good article in deed......BGP'ers will argue over semantics but the in depth information on each team is really, really good. I for one do not get to see as many games as I used to and I can read this article and have a feel for each.....

Arguably one of the most talented and athletic teams in the region. However, in recent history, that hasn't lead to success in the win column. If they "get it together" they could win the Class "A" and regular 10th Region titles. If not, it'll be more of the same............

Mason County will be better than most people think, how good that is will depend on their ability to tap into that elite tradition they have. At Augusta, in our own small way, we have tried to emulate that tradition and elite expectation with great success. If you don't expect to win.....you won't.

No sarcasm here. I like to recognize significant contributions wherever they are present. Coach Fisher's contribution would be analogous to Coach O'Hearn assisting Coach Biggs. Very admirable.

It's nice Coach Fischer, as a former successful Head Coach, put ego aside to take a supporting role to Coach Hinson......very altruistic.

Don't count me in the group. I have a great affinity for Mason County.
