It is high school sports people....Beechwood has a fine coach and staff as does Boone County. Only part for me that I think is funny is in the off season it will rev up again about super duper Midland ball and how great those guys are. Maybe the best Beechwood players always play their best against better select ball competition. Having said that I really like the Combs kid as a player.

I always gave credit to Stan Steidel of Dayton and Mike Swauger of Bellevue for being the Patrons of this with the help of Fr. Heile from Latin and Frey from Holy Cross.

The all tourney teams are torture for coaches. The Indians did win the region and as others said nice year by Holmes, Highlands, Ryle, Dixie and many others. The 9th Region was pretty strong this year. Kes may be trying to motivate McClendon and the other Mayhaus girl to even amp their games up further downstate. I don't know. Certainly I bet Kes hated leaving anyone that played off of that unit. The players always seem to take these kind of awards in stride. The parents and relatives-not so much. Good Luck Holy Cross. Bring the title to Latonia!!!

It's about Highlands football. I am surprised it hasn't reached 200 posts yet.

Scott's games are always sloppy because they don't play defense. Fans ask the refs to patrol the reaches, but when they do, you know who gets mad-Scott's fans. The Eagles are entertaining, but won't win big games until they play defense. Every team is different, but this group of Eagles can score in bunches, but don't seem to understand the need to stop their opponent form scoring. Box out and get a rebound.

Oh he still coaches... Disappointed Trinity and highlands won't even scrimmage anymore... To me, although tough, Trinity's schedule is not as good going forward as it was in the past. JMHO.

Most of the officials are KHSAA sanctioned. I had an official tell me that they weren't supposed to wear their KHSAA logo gear for middle school games.
