I love Belfry and have the utmost respect for what they have done. I may be the only one on here who understands the argument GRC Hoops is making. Is Eli Manning a better QB than Peyton Manning? Eli has two rings, Peyton 1. I would say Peyton is a way better QB than Eli. Didn't take the time nor would I to research who has had more success head to head.

The star running back is from out of the district. I think Principal Zimmerman liked football a lot. The point on the band is solid. I have said it in as nice a way as I can for years-Yeagle and his staff were better than Rash and his staff. Beechwood has had very talented players and I guarantee Yeagle and his group wouldn't have been shut out for titles with this group of Juniors. The QB has had three years in the system basically as a starter so it isn't inexperience at that spot. Some coaches need to be reviewed but should have been for years. Obviously something more than Mayfield moving to 2A needs to change.

I don't think this is what Mayfield fans think. I think they have heard so much hype from Beechwood folks over the years that they believe it will be the same old same old this year. This really is Beechwood's last chance for a few years to show they can actually beat Mayfield. They have the talent. Now it is up to the execution part.

I think if NCC tries to move the game from Newport that would be silly and furthermore could disrupt the good relations between the two schools. Why would NCC risk being able to play at Newport's field in the future for one playoff game. Play at Newport and let's see who the better team is. NCC has all the tradition, and Newport has had a super year. No dog in the fight. I look forward to a great game next week.

CovCath's Special Teams were definitely not special Saturday. Congrats to the Tigers! Mayfield's internet service usually gears up in November about the same time service in Fort Mitchell dies. It is always an interesting coincidence.

BW and NCC are playing the schedules they need to be playing. Don't water down the schedule. BW has coaching issues which I have been saying for years and the road has now grown to roads (was Mayfield, now Mayfield and Frankfort) that have to be gone through to win state. NCC is in a down period of football players right now. At one school obvious moves have to be made, and have been needed for some time. Either change the head man, or change the assistant coaches-simple as that. If you can't make those moves, then the drought continues. In A football either you are the champ or the runner up, and anything besides that is a mediocre football team in a mediocre football state.

Guru went to Beechwood, but follows Boone County more closely now. Nice win Beechwood. See what the Tigers do in the playoffs, that is all that matters here.
