I find it hard to believe that Slusher from Beechwood isn't on this list also. That said, I don't know many of the other players

I thought the same thing. Some college is going to steal a gem!

If you look, the article is alphabetical by school. Slusher is a very good player and will be a steal for someone and Fieger is an excellent pitcher. Both could be on that list. With that being said, I am sure a lot of very good players were left off this list probably due to space limitations. To me it looks like they were trying to highlight a player from each school. I have seen probably more than half of these boys play and all are deserving, but so were some others, this area is loaded with talent! So......Congratulations to all the guys on the list ! Well done fellas!

Dr. James Naismith and I would argue.

Just seen Combs from Beechwood is a UK commiet , nice to here that. I seen him play 2 years ago at Greenup Co. And he was a nice player then, could tell he could do something if he continued to work. Going to UK sounds like he has. I remember talking to his dad, and him for a min. Seem to be a good kid and his dad was a really nice guy. Congrats to Combs, keep it up. I hope Beechwood and Greenup cross path`s this year or next. would be fun.

Has he redirected his next level focus? Have seen on Twitter he is attending some junior days for football. I get those are somewhat meaningless, but man that kid is a football player. Nice player on the diamond too, but true standout on gridiron. BUT, I completely agree he should be on that list, but a lot of kids were left off-thats what happens whenever you make a list.

Agreed... Not only were a lot of kids left off the list, but so were a lot of schools...

Just off the top of my head:

Bellevue, Cooper, Dayton, Holmes, Holy Cross, Ludlow, Newport, New Cath, Ryle, and St. Henry were all skipped over.

That being said, it's early. I think several kids from a lot of these schools will get plenty of recognition as the season goes on.

I like all the players that did get mentioned.

There will be more kids that stand out this season, but the list was on players who shined last season . Also, the better the player's team is, the more reconigtion the player gets for a great performance. I think all of the schools listed had great runs at the end of the season in district, regions , and some state tourneys. Congrats to all the players making the list.

Dr Naismith is a Canadian-need I say more???

There are alot of really good players not on the list but are key players for their teams success in 2015.

Ludlow- Evan Slone, Tyler Lyons, Tyler Durham

Bellevue- Briley Seiter, Nate Arnzen

Brossart- Clay Kramer

NewCath- Zack Pangallo, Grant Moeves, Brandon Gray, Clint Bartels, Nate Enslen

Just a few names to watch out for!

A NCC parent recently told me that Pangallo is being recruited by UK. If that is indeed the case then good luck to him.

Agree with all these names...

I was a bit baffled that the article didn't include all of the schools in NKY.

I understand you can't list every good player at every school...

But, at least one "key" player should have been mentioned from each school IMO.

Pangallo is a standout on the field. Problem is he loves being on the court more. He'll probably continue playing basketball instead of baseball in college.
