This is a bargain in the 4th round. This kid putting on some muscle and throwing from the legs.... could hit a 100. Always said that he looks like he is barely throwing and hitting 90.

Congrats, Jeff. Hopefully this is Stephenson's job if he wants it. Very good coach.

1st game... I would expect Casteel v Haddle. Only a guess. No idea in the 2nd game.

I forgot that sarcasm doesn't exist in here unless you use 'lol'. lol

CCH's Krumpelbeck and 1,000 wins

Just a question: If Krumps missed 2 games this season (both wins) and his assistants were the coaches.... does Krumps get credit? -
Is it time for Krumps?

All of Cov Caths talent was on display last night. ..... along with all of Highlands "d1" talent. I would say that Cov Cath has superior talent. -
Every year Covington Catholic has the best crop of male athletes in the ninth region, in NKY, and very seldom do they win the region in baseball. What makes me think it is time for him, (krumps), to go, resign, get fired... is that with this talent pool every year, with all the players they have... he comes up lacking. They have hired a young progressive basketball coach and what?.... he has turned them into a perennial powerhouse. They took decent football program, hired a young progressive coach and he turned them into a powerhouse. You have the same athletes year in and year out and you put a (with all do respect) a relic of a coach on the bench and you get the same result year in and year out. He cuts kids he shouldn't cut, he plays kids that shouldn't be playing, and he bunts we he shouldn't, he bunts when he shouldn't, he bunts when should not and he doesn't bunt when he should. It MIGHT be time to put a younger, more progressive mind at the helm. Or, does a person like this decide when HE wants to leave? And, before you can respond with records of the past.... wouldn't any coach have those records if they coached there?

Just looked at the last couple nights scores and there is no 'stats' column in the scores. Last year was the first year that KHSAA was requiring stats. Was there so much of a push back that they just squashed it?

I was corrected.... Gunner Smith did make the list. -
KHSBCA 2018 Pre-Season All-State Team

The reason I asked was that the nky schools listed had multiple kids nominated... some, IMO, I wouldn't consider all state caliber... while kids like Castleman, Coldiron and Gunner Smith, also from nky, were left off. I'm thinking that members can nominate players (usually their own players) and schools of the kids I mentioned, maybe are not members? Just a thought. -

Odd question, but is every school a member of this association? -

Landon Scott, for SK, will be one to watch from the 2020 class. He's pitched up a year for At The Yard. -

Brady Barker for Campbell County is pretty good and he's been pitching Varsity since 7th or 8th grade. -

Nick Jackman looked very solid. Like Rom, Jackman pitched 2 scoreless innings.
