Thank you Obi Wan. I can assure you I am the farthest thing from a PC whine about everything as there is. But you forgot the main lesson that sports teaches us, that whatever makes the most money wins. Oh, and that education and work is secondary to sports, lets have two schools shut down a day and a half for a football game and have adults have to arrange a held day off. Some of us have to ask co workers to pick up our shift when we take time off. Give me the logic behind the 1a game being moved? Why not 6a? 5a? Why move the game that has the two teams traveling the farthest? If your answer doesn't involve $$$ you are wrong.

Had planned to. My team got stuck playing on Thursday, not gonna spend 3 nights in BG and not gonna make the 3 and a half hour drive twice.

No doubt Pikeville is a good football team, BW gonna have to be at the very top of their game. I think BW played a far superior schedule, read on here that not one team that Pikeville beat in regular season won a playoff game. Is that a fact? That's kind of hard to believe. BW on the other hand played and beat a 2a state finalist in NCC, an Ohio playoff team in Ironton, a 2a regional finalist in Lloyd, and beat them all handily. They are certainly more battle tested and have played and or scrimmaged much larger schools Conner, Dixie, and Cov Cath, so it won't be the first good line they've seen. Jacob Smith is as good a back as there is in the state, and while I have no idea how he compares to Pugh the Tigers allowed him one 60 yard run then shut him down. So, let's line em up. Sounds like the Eastern Ky folks have placed BW on running clock notice, so that's good. Tigers aren't used to being the decisive underdog.

Hard to not agree. Kash is special and had he played we may be getting ready to watch Paintsville play. I still like my guy, especially watching what he's had to do the last two weeks to carry his team. But Kash did same all year.

Lol. There is not one person in this thread that I know of is a coach, a player, a cheerleader, or anything else connected to this team. I have no ties what so ever to the current team. How are we supposed to know how they feel, or are you one of those that thinks fans really make a difference? We don't. I will tell you this. BW has the best QB in 1A. They have IMO the best player in 1A. They have a great coaching staff that has put them in this position. Why wouldn't they feel great? There are 12 teams in the state still playing, and they are one of them. Exactly what else are you looking for? Ask a silly question.......

Blah blah blah. You posted your long rant a couple of weeks ago about who was going to do what. Nobody cares then, nobody cares now. You were sure RVille was gonna beat BW. Didn't happen even with a starting LB in street clothes the entire game, and another going out early for rest of game. I watched on HUDL, the fact you ever picked that team to beat BW shows you are clueless. Had BW had their RB in this game they would have scored 50.

So I say again, that makes jawing at a HS football player OK? Fans have no business doing it. Just because your coach decides to run to the other side doesn't give you the right to woof with opposing players. I would expect adults to behave in a different manner.

Saw Wayne last week. Two very talented teams. Trust me, Colerain gets their share of transfers too. Not every kid up and down Colerain Ave can afford Elder or X, and they aren't flocking to Oak Hills. Wayne's QB is very good, they are big and fast. Would absolutely love to see a Male Wayne game. IMO Wayne wins that one, but would be awesome to watch.

BW just missing a gear. When Stringer is healthy they have as good as a trifecta of skill players as anyone. Without him they have struggled to find their stride. Slusher is usually the best player on the field,,but as a RB he's not as big a threat, and without Ethan teams can scheme him at WR. Other kids have stepped up and coaches have great game plans, but Pikeville will be a different animal. One more game Tigers!!!

I think the question is more if there is a choice. Highlands and BW don't have stands on other side. Don't think CC does either? I've not been to their new stadium. It certainly is their choice, but you are rolling the dice. Combine a fired up bunch of 18 year old boys with a bunch of adults in the stands that forgot what being an adult means and its a recipe for what apparently went down at SK last night. Same thing happened at BW last year vs Mayfield. One of their D lineman decided it was a good idea to face the crowd and do a nice crotch grab. Couple adults with 15 year old mentalities decided it was offensive and off it went.

Easy for you. Let's move to BG game to NKy at 7 on Thursday. And you are wrong. I stayed for every game last year, and my team wasn't in it. That's the fun part of it, to get to see other teams that you don't get to see. And players like it too.

They earned the right to play they, not gifted it. They've earned to be treated with respect, as opposed to wedged into a time slot that even fans of the team can't make. Step up and move the game. Got news for ya, playing on westerns field is not a prize, kids could care less. Now playing at Commonwealth, that would be a treat for the and the fans. And a lot closer. Let's be honest here. Before last night they really hadn't played anyone since BW, and Danville isnt Mayfield.

My bad, for some reason I thought the WKU game was Friday night. Still, has to be a solution better than the one they came up with. Something. Heck move it back a week. I'm guessing some teams could use a week off to heal. Instead you give one class a short week, and two teams will sit on a bus for hours there and back. Move the 1a game to Lexington. Or Georgetown College.

It says everyone outside of Kenton County recognizes a concerted effort on behalf of the AD to schedule nobody and pad the record. SK has beaten no one of any substance in their little run here over the last couple years. People see that. When you play nobody in district, at least step out once a year and travel to Louisville and play one of the big boys. And I'm not talking about a scrimmage. Go across the river and play somebody, doesn't even have to be a GCL school. Play Colerain. Or Winton Woods. Or Fairfield or Mason. Play somebody, and the rest of the state will stop waiting on the inevitable loss. Has nothing to do with any poster on this board.

Careful. It's blasphemy to mention anything that state up north does in a positive light. Lived there all my life, save the last 2 and a half. Perhaps I'm bias, but they do it light years better. Highest seed hosts Rd 1, then that's it. I believe no grass fields after round 2 is their policy. Sites predetermined, but not assigned until teams are decided. They just hosted a Colerain Elder game at a HS stadium, not sure any game outside of Trinity St X would bring that type of crowd. Plenty of big stadiums in Lexington and Louisville that could host almost any game and not require an all day trek.

Terrible for these kids in this 1a game. They deserve every much as the rest of these teams to play on the big stage, instead the get to drive clear across the state on a school/work night where schools will have to shut down early on Thursday, parents have to leave work early, and the only people in the stands will be from each school. Isnt that the reward of playing in this game, win or lose? Proves to me Tackett and the rest of the KHSAA is even more clueless and money hungry than I ever thought possible. Terrible planning, terrible solution. You can play 3 games in a day. Play 3 Saturday and Sunday. End Sunday with the 5a game. Just awful.
