If you check post #20 if refers to officials working for schools they attended and the grumbling of people in the crowds. Larry Rose was mentioned when working Dayton games and Rob Lohr when in NCC games. And your response was, "or Freppon in NCC games". This clearly implies he worked NCC games and you were aware the same thing happened then. You either have a vendetta for NCC officials who work their games, or just for Freppon in general. My point is that refs take enough static as it is when reffing without you bringing up someone's name and implying something that is clearly false. Now you can get on with your day. Happened to run into Tom Freppon and I ask him if he ever worked NewCath games. He said he worked exacxtly ONE of their games in his career, against Bellevue long ago. So I guess you should do a little homework before implying that a specific official showed favoritism in a game.

Region not nearly as good as last several years. Last year had 3 teams in the state top 10, this year none.

How do 5 officials get to work a state championship game and NONE of them know this rule? There will always be questions on judgement calls, but that usually involves ONE official and it is just that:his judgement. This is a situation where any one of the 5 could have known the rule and had a conference with the other officials and got it right. Absolutely NO excuse for not knowing this rule. Whether it had a baring on the game is incidental, it is ridiculous that it happened. NCC fans think the game may have ended differently. Mayfield fans are forced into defending their stance they would have won anyway. BOTH teams are cheated because 5 officials were incompetent. It not about the result of the game at all, it is how in the hell the state can assign these officials to a game like this.

From the way Danville beat LCA this year I don't think that is enough . I'll take Danville next year.

For an 80 year old stadium I think it is a great place to watch a game. Been to a lot worse places.

Have you even seen Danville play? I'm not saying NCC wins the game, but don't let your "extensive knowledge" close the door on a team before the game is played. Your sour grapes at again losing to NCC are clouding your judgement.

NCC wil have become more disciplined and avoid all their penalties, especially the personal fouls and unsportmanlike calls. These just kill them and they continue to do it.

Great point. There is no question they should have gone for 2 points. If it had been sucessful they kick easy field goal at the end of the game to go to overtime. If the 2-pointer is not sucessful they still win witha TD at the end. Down 4 or 5 makes no difference.
