  1. I would think it would be foolish on their part to transfer if they were not moving out of the district and would then be eligible right away. Giving up a year of playing in high school is a huge deal.
  2. If the kids played varsity ball then they would have to sit out a year. For everyone's information there is only one person who knows which kids get financial aid (therefore don't pay full tuition). That is the person who administers the financial aid program.
  3. You are talking about kids who are already in a high school. This thread started I believe about kids in the 8th grade selecting a high school. If you have not been in a any high school you can go where ever you want. Why is that a transfer? If a kid at St. Mary's grade school goes to Campbell Co., is that a transfer? If you haven't ever been in a high school I don't think choosing one constitutes a transfer where ever you go.
  4. So you want someone else to ask them, but not you. If you really are that interested then ask.
  5. Where will the regional be played?
  6. Sorry, didn't read far enough.
  7. Where will the semis be played?
  8. NCC has beaten Grant Co. and Scott
  9. I don't like traveling that far if a viable alternative is available.
  10. Congrats to Trey and good luck in basketball and his studies.
  11. It is not nearly as desirable as it once was. The make-up of the Boone student body is entirely different than 10 years ago. Much more of a transient population now which makes it hard to establish continuity in the program.
  12. Didn't say he wasn't fine at Bellarmine. That's where he belongs. You missed my whole point. People on here were critical of NKU for not recruiting him also. The point others made then was he was a great high school player, but not a D1 player. I never saw him play, but it sure looks like they were right.
  13. My point is that if they didn't contact him earlier they apparently didn't think they wanted him. Who are you to criticize a staff that just took a team to the NCAA tournament. Their job is to be unbiased and recruit players they think will help the team. As was pointed out they are loaded with young guards and apparently felt he wouldn't fit in. You are obviously speaking with a biased opinion. You recruit for your needs. Again I trust people that do this for a living.
  14. I would think the baseball factor was very big.
  15. Putting butts in the seats is about WINNING, and apparently NKU didn't think Ohmer would help do that so they passed. I guess I just trust what college coaches think more than local fans who are biased. Time will tell.
  16. And Hawkins wasn't even considered by UK until the state tourney. The same as Ohmer, no one was knocking down his door before that that I know of.
  17. I guessed you missed the point that they had no scholarships available. The future will determine if they missed out. The same thing was said about the kid from Augusta who scored a million points in high school but plays about 10 minutes a game at Bellarmine. As was mentioned no one else was knocking his door down, so it just wasn't NKU. THis is no knock on Ohmer just a statement of fact.
  18. How long was WKU in the picture? They didn'offer until the after the State Tourney, so they couldn't have been too sold before that.
  19. Keep in mind very few baseball players get a full ride for baseball.
  20. Just curious but what does "once again ' mean?
  21. Good for him. It's amazing about being in the right place at the right time can do. If he hadn't made that shot at the end of the Campbell Co. game, probably none of this happens.
