True, but if the home team only calls in the game if they win you can see why the newspaper coverage is so bad. Not calling it in doesn't translate into it not happening.

The home school has to call in the story and stats or it won't be posted. Not defending the lack of support by the paper, but they don't have the manpower to cover all the games. A simple phone call would suffice for a little summary and the stats. Obviously this didn't happen.

Does anyone have power rating for these teams?

I really don't not fist bumping had anything to do with the game. Poor sportmanship in my opinion. No different than not shaking hands after the game.

Great post, yet there will still be the nay sayers who consider this as "NOT" a real state tournament. However these same people get all excited when their football, track, etc, (all sports that are classified) teams win a "STATE" title. Mark my word, when the ALL A tournament starts the jealous people from schools who are too big to qualify will downplay it as meaningless. It happens every year, and most of those posts come from fans of schools who couldn't win it if they were included. Celebrate Augusta, the people who know better realize what you have accomplished.

Heard McDonald is under the weather and that he ran to the locker room after the game last night to throw up. This shouldn't make any difference, though.

Heard from someone there that after McDonald made his free throws that Seth Freppon did a great job on their point guard by not letting him penetrate and forcing him to the baseline where he stepped out of bounds with less than a second left, basically ending the game. That kid plays hard all the time and does a lot of the dirty work. Good job.

Very bad call. There was a player in the vicinity and that is the criteria for hanging to protect yourself.

Haven't begun to read this thread, but one problem will be no one will remember guys who played from the 60's back. Also to be consistent it should be based on how they performed in high school, not after that.

Agree. The talent might be there but a very lazy team.
