The LIT ratings will be out tomorrow as well, right?

Kinda shocked Boyle county not in top 25? And sw at 19 and Wayne at 12 after sw beat them rather easy....

Nothing to be shocked about, these ratings are always stupid.

I look forward to seeing the full regional rankings, likely tomorrow. These are the best. People will argue all day that these aren't right. At the end of the day, they are arguing their emotion against the facts used by this system.

Too often, individual opinions rely upon specific games, even head to head to head match-ups, as opposed to each team's body of work. Well, there's that and bias due to emotion. Cantrall's rankings are based solely on teams' performances season to date. With each passing week, they become more reliable as more data is taken into account. It's not perfect but it is superior to other polls in my opinion.

Also, for the past couple of seasons, this model seems to be a little better than its Louisville counterpart.

Looking at these from a personal point of view, I don't see much to argue with. Boyle would be my only complaint. That said, I admittedly favor 12th region teams, and Boyle.

Historic's comment about SW beating Wayne easily is part of the problem. Does that mean that because East Jessamine beat SW rather easily they should be ranked higher? Basing too much on head-to-head match-ups, in one game, is a natural tendency for most people. But it doesn't fairly consider the team's body of work.

If the Litkenhaus comes out tomorrow, and the first AP ranking as well...stay tuned for the first edition of the BCS (BluegrassPreps Composite Rankings) sometime on Tuesday.

If we are speaking about body of work, then GRC should be in the picture.

GRC is 9-3 and has lost its 3 games by a combined total of only 10 points.

Are you telling me that the difference between being in the Top 25 and not for GRC is a mere 10 points?

I'm lazy... who have they lost to?

Think Doss should be higher.

I'm lazy... who have they lost to?

Who have they beaten? Of significance? What are their signature wins?

Is their a link to the ratings or where can I find them

These rankings always look funny until the end of the season.

I think the problem is that no one can ever figure out how these ratings are compiled. Doss is 10-2 and has defeated four teams in the top 25. Lost to one team in the top 25 and I would be surprised if the other team they lost to isn't in the top 30. The other problem is that these ratings only look at specific data but doesn't take into account that Doss lost the second game of two games they played consecutively with no rest in the same day.

The facts used by this system are flawed and these ratings are flawed as a result.

I'll also add that the facts used by the system are simply facts. I prefer rankings that are done by people who have seen teams play. Male in the top 25? How????
