Cards win but tighter than most expect. Mayfield had alot of kinks that they too need to fix in week 1.

Mayfield should be greatly improved but I feel like they are fighting with their hands tied behind their back from tornado departures. Then BW and LCA get some very high end transfers. I would not count Mayfield out but they have alot to overcome.

Reading about this kid, he will simply spell trouble on both sides of the ball for 2A, dang it BW!!!! 😡

Us too, we still have a couple driving in everyday, I hope they stay the course. Driving in is tough and I hope we get their families settled. This is a BW thread so back to the Tigers for now but I hope to see another Tigers - Cards game this year. I also have to again say thank you to all the BW folks and the many others across the entire state for the support they gave us in our darkest hours. We are still in a mess but the support will never be forgotten. I needed water a few days after the tornado and was directed to the huge number of supplies provided by Beechwood and got a couple cases of the water, it was obvious where it was from, the bottles had the Reds logo. I kept a bottle and placed it on a shelf in my dining room.

I expect Mayfield to be up this year, the pieces are in place.

Mayfield, for the first time in 3 years, finally has a team that has the chance to be very relevant in the title talk. A few uncertains are out there, we lost alot of housing from the tornado but hopefully we retain everyone. Im excited about out LB group the most. I expect the QB play to be pretty good and we have a RB that is one of the best we have had in a long time. THE WR's will be a good group. The group I wish I knew more about is the line play. I have heard they should be pretty good but I will have to find out more to know how I feel about that group.

Good hire for the Racers and he is familar with the area the MVC is prominent in

I would like to announce that the new Head Football Coach at Mayfield is Joe Morris. Morris was a ununanimous choice by the school board and he brings a very impressive resume. Morris was also named as the new AD. I think they made a good choice and the program should be in good hands. 🤣

I have been hearing Jonathan Smith over here for Cracken. No idea if there is any validity to it though.

Would love to see the Racers take out St Pete for the Cats. Way to go Racers!!!

Just to add a little more drama for you guys, his wife is from Milan and his cousin Jeff was the long time head football coach at Milan until a couple years ago when he retired. Lots of family ties there and a traditional TN contender that is only about an hour from Mayfield. Give Joe a chance and it will all come out in the wash and it will all be fine.

To expand on my previous comments, as Deuce said, I am speaking of Mayfield. 64 kids are without a place to live as of now I was told yesterday. Not as bad as I thought but still very significant.

I can't help but wonder what kind of team we will field next year. All the physical componets were undamaged but there will be some families forced to move to other places to find housing and jobs for parents. We lost some of our residential neighborhoods inside the city. Some of our kids maybe living and playing at other schools. Football is not longer even important now.
