Score can be a little misleading. Mayfield completely dominated the Rebels to the tune of a second quarter running clock. JV played the second half and could not contain Todd Co’s quarterback. To his credit, Coach Morris stayed with them through the conclusion of the game. If Mayfield had kept their first team O and D, this would have been really ugly.

It was over before halftime. TC never took their first team out.

Lots of cred to Coach Morris for doing this. I definitely saw the final score and thought, "Oh dang...Cardinals...."

Then I opened the thread and saw this.

Those JV kids just learned a WHOLE bunch playing against a squad who was giving it their all with nothing to lose.

Our JV lost the 2nd half 3 to 1. I can see why they didn't pull their starters because it was their last game and such and they don't have alot of depth. It's always a good thing when your up 36-0 at the half.

To be honest, I was posted on the TC side, and on the outside looking in after the third touchdown it was very emotional and appeared TC wanted to give up

The parents of the TC players was the emotional support, in my opinion only, I am not giving Mayfield the championship, but I do think it was the overall best team they had faced.

Not pulling your JV is the way you build depth. This isn’t Coach Morris’ first rodeo. 
Mayfield knows  what they are doing. 

TC played hard.  Decent size on the line.  But they only have maybe 10 bench players.  No depth.  QB looked good running the ball.

Mayfield played ok.  Still looked a little sluggish.  I'm ready to see them play a good team.  Not sure if Murray is up to it next week.

Todd County lost their starting QB to a hand injury in the middle of the Green County game. Credit to their coaches, their kids play hard to the final whistle. They did the same thing in 2nd half when I saw them vs. Owensboro Catholic. 

Sluggish? Every team has things to work on, but we could have put 60 plus on this team that lost to O Cath by 10. I don't know anything about that game. Maybe O Cath pulled their starters in the second half, but our first team is clicking, and that is without two of our best players.

OC pulled their starters up 49-6. Sounds like very similar to what happened vs Mayfield. TC starters dominated OCs freshmen and sophomores.
