I agree with your take on this and have given have given this alot of arm chair thoughts this week. Mayfield's line play is well above average but I think this is one of the areas that Beechwood has the advantage. But we will hav to see if its a stalemate or difference maker. I think Mayfield's coaching staff advantage may also be a factor, its proven to be so time and time again in the past.

Ole Miss started slow but took over in the second half. Rebs kicker was a game time scratch for some reason and the Rebs had to use a walk on kicker who had only attempted 1 PAT and missed it. He turned out fine last night connecting on both FG and PATS. REbs QB Matt Corral was his usual gamer. Rebs future look pretty sweet from here as in SUGAR BOWL!

I can't really see the Cards winning this year but then I think back to the TN Chatanooga game for the Cats so who knows but I think UK wins this one.

Ole Carl here must be a refree and I'm guessing the white hat. Thanks for finally clearing that play up. For all this time we have just never known. Mayfield has won a state title of 2 they were lucky to win and dropped a couple they should have won. If you lose by 1 play it hurts and that last play did but there were many chances to win and all know it, it happens. I'm sure Beechwood still feels the sting from the 95 state title game loss to Mayfield and the 2011 game will always hurt as well.

Fun Fact: Mayfield is tied with Washington Massillon, OH for 3rd in all time high school football wins at 920. Should Mayfield win Friday they would move into sole possession of 3rd all time. Washington's season ended last week. So reguardless Mayfield is 3rd in all time wins but could be in sole possession with a win Fri. FYI Valdosta, GA is #1 at 933 and our very own Male is #2 at 926. Valdosta's season ended with a 4 win campaign and Male is still playing. Given recent trends, Male has a great shot at passing Valdosta next season. Valdosta has not been very good in recent time. Poor Highlands has fallen back to #5 with 911 wins.

#8 Ole Miss or that other school, MS. State. I'm going with my Rebels but that other school is playing good football and it will require the Rebs to bring their A game. For reasons unknown to me you never see any Ole Miss post on here. I find that suprising when the Rebs are #8, a SEC school and every other ranked team has a post. Enough of ranting, who you got?

🤣😂🤣 Snake might have got under their skin a little back durning the regular season and I don't think they have forgot. Should BW finally win I suspect they will roast me too but they have been overly cautious so far and I suspect that reflects past experiences with MF. I can't say I blame them, the very mention of Danville makes me nervous and we finally beat the Ads.

Just messing with you guys, you all are certainly, and rightfully the favorite for probably the first time ever but we are a different animal than others and never expect to lose. I'm sure you all feel the same way other than when you play Mayfield 😉

It is now looking like I have got all onboard to make the trip. I hope to get to catch up with all my old Beechwood adversaries. I'm guessing I have met 3/4 of the BW long time fans from this board over the years.

Sounds familiar, they freshman champs were looking forward to the Mayfield game, heck I still get a chuckle thinking back to the past games and hearing the same rhetoric. Careful what you wish for when playing with 500 pound, back riding gorillas. Beechwood fans have been talking the talk all year but I'm not sure this isn't another frosh champs team.

You can go to the apple store or your phone provider and buy a dongle, I have one, it allows you to mirror the phone directly to your hdmi on your TV. Works great, that is how we have games at War Memorial when we tailgate.

My arm chair QB opinion is that neither teams schedule turned out to be as tough as I would have thought before the season and neither has a win that pops. Beechwood toppling Cov Cath is the closest thing to a pop and I am not sure how good of a win that really was. Hergott scares me to death, I fear we do not have the personel to stop him. I wish we had not lost the all state LB Rogers, he was the leader of the team and would have been a big help. I think MF scores some but can they figure out a way to stop BW's offense. Will the recent BW injuries have a significant impact? Will having not had a competitive game in 8 weeks hurt Beechwood? Will Beechwood try to hard because they want the Mayfield gorrilla off their back. All those could be factors before even considering turnovers. My gut says Beechwood at home is a 3 TD favorite but I have seen Mayfield is this situation many times and more often than not they have found some of that Mayfield Magic so I have a strong feeling the Cards coaches will give the Cards a chance to win. I need to go watch some Beechwood footage, that might give me a better feel for this one.

He forgot to figure in the mental woes that Rash and Beechwood have when they see that M on the uniforms. It's been that way since 95. I figure the Shock and Awe is worth atleast 21 if not more. I will give my take a little later, I have been mired down at work and have not had time to see just how bad I think it's gonna be.
