  1. JB, hide the women and children we are comming 😉
  2. ImJust Here, you maybe here but you have not been here for all the years of banter I have had with VOR who is actually an old friend as are a few other Beechies. I was just trying to get his dander up a little for this one. As for Rash, I consider him fair game since he is the head coach but again relax it was just a shot at VOR to try and get him going. Everyone in Mayfield is very aware of the fabled Beechwood Program and hold it in the highest of esteem but hey we have to have a little back and forth fun this week.
  3. 48-6, seems light years from 14, and you won't win any comparisions to Jimmy The Greek. Your evaluation and understanding of Mayfield seems misguided. I wonder if Rash can sleep a wink this week or will the nightmares get to him.
  4. Congrats Tigers!!!, maybe you all can get some needed good sleep.
  5. Mayfield clearly left no doubt and it played out as most expected, except Voice of Reason who must have been looking on the wrong line or somthing when he made his puzzling prediction 😉. Hats off to Green Co, a team that won 1 game last year, great turnaround and great season where nothing was left on the field, the Dragons never stopped fighting despite being down from the get go. Hold your head high and in a day or so the pain will give way to realizing what a great season you all had.
  6. Way to go Tornados!!!!! F-5 Baby! I have to also give my self credit, I called this one on this board and said they would shock the state and they did!!!
  7. Some strange sightings reported around Mayfield today. Their appearance is reportedly Green looking Dragon like creatures according to early sightings. Joe Morris has been ask to lead some men out to slay these things. 🤣
  8. That same year Mayfield, under first year head coach Paul Leahy started 2-3 and upset Prestonsburg for the title.
  9. From out West, Allen Co Scotttsville & Graves County, both made it but lost in title game. Caldwell County upset Danville a few years back
  10. A 6:30 Central kickoff time has been announced. The early start time is to help Green Co in the long travel.
  11. If Beechwood drops this one they need to call for the entire staff to go and I would be worried the sun would not come up the next morning,
  12. Just lucky, we took the same approach, the only difference is that this time we executed early and once we got up a couple of scores they saw ghost of the past then when we went boo they tucked tail and ran like they were susposed to do the first time. Its hard to play catch up with their slowdown style of play. Kids will sometimes be kids. The kids on both sides know the history and that maybe led to Mayfield not being as focused the first time and it may have hurt Murray in the opposite way this time. Couple that with some timely breaks and anything can happen with kids.
  13. 21-28 point Cards victory is my best arm chair guess. Clearly you think otherwise so go ahead and spill your beans.
  14. Congrats Green Co, extra sweet advancing over the lone team that beat you in the regular season.
  15. It would be hard not to pick the Cards in this one. I honestly know absoutly nothing about Green Co and had to look up where it even is. I also looked up the schedule to see who they played and the results. For a team that won 1 game to 11-1 is nothing short of WoW! I do believe from looking at their schedule that Mayfield will be the best team Green has seen this year and the most balanced. I am going with the Cards by 21-28 points.
  16. My arm chair take on what happened goes like this. Murray runs a offense that is always going to be turnover prone just by its very nature for starters. The QB has that ball out there in the fullbacks belly and makes a decision to pull it nore often than not and is usually doing this under extreme duress, then he keeps it or may pitch it. That is going to lead to a ball on the ground from time to time. Credit the Murray QB though, he is a very skilled all around athlete and he has proven to be one of the better runners in this part of the state and he actually throws a decent ball when given the green light. Back to last night, leading up to the game the Cards DC stated that we got confused at times in the first game but we would basically do the same game plan this time but make sure everyone better understood their assignment. It appeared to me that he was right and the 4 man front that bent alot in the first game and had fans freaked out looked impregnable last night. This time on offense we didnt drop the exact same passes we had dropped in game 1 and our line play was stellar both opening holes and in pass protection. The Cards focus and execution coupled with Murray's implosion led to the debacle for Murray we saw last night.
  17. The did not but they attempted to on several occassions but the QB never got the pass off due to being under major pressure. It was like Mayfield somehow knew he was going to pass and brought the house on his pass attempts. Maybe there was somthing that Mayfield picked up on from watching all of the 20 or so passes they threw all season.
  18. While the win was expected, the margin was a suprise. I expected 21-28. As I said at the time, the first game was a anomaly.
  19. Careful what you wish for, it appears that we are going to be really good the next few years. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awile, this may be your nut.
  20. This is a toss up. I watched the first game and thought Murray was their own worst enemy but Caldwell played a excellent game on defense. I think the winner is the team that makes the few est mistakes again.
